Day 1

Sitting on the plane, morning 7.30 am, tapping my feet nervously, I had no idea what I had in store for the next 9 days. Finally it was 10 am, when I was talking to the rickshaw guy to take me to Hawa Mahal, then this 2 wonderful Australian girls come and sit in the same rickshaw and we all venture out for our big day.

We take the 2 days pass that would help us cover majority of the must visits.

First we see the gorgeous Hawa Mahal from inside, it is beautiful inside too, after a hour long tour of Hawa Mahal, we move on to City Palace which is a 5 min walk from Hawa Mahal.

Cost of city Palace entrance was around 150rs for Indians and 700 rupees for foreigners, took a guide, which wasn't really required and roamed around for about 1 hour.

Clicked amazing pictures of the place. Then we made a quick visit to Jantar Mantar museum, again 5 minutes from city Palace which was superb. All this roaming had made us hungry and we were yet to see Hawa Mahal from the outside, so got us a spot in the tattoo cafe which is right opposite Hawa Mahal and had our lunch with the gorgeous view.

Post lunch we began towards sisodiya raani bagh, which was far away from the city and didn't really see much crowd there, and then headed back to our hostel.

Day 2

Had breakfast, we had half a day as the girls had to leave, we decided to go to Amer Fort, again included in the pass, Amer Fort was beautiful especially the sheesh Mahal it was beautiful.

Spent more than 2 hours in the fort, had lunch at a nearby hotel, and went back to hostel.

With all the power packed first day, second day was lighter.

I spent the evening at hostel lounging around.

Day 3

Morning 9 am, me and Eric took a bike for rent and headed towards Galtaji temple. Saw the sun temple, then hiked a bit towards other parts of the temple, where people were taking holy bath, then headed back and yeah said hi to lot of monkeys, by the way, funny story, they also messed up with our seat covers.

Then we went to see Panna Meena ka kund, I was stunned to see a really different octagonal shaped stepwell. And then we were just wandering around those narrow lanes, visited a 150 year old temple, such beautiful carvings, I was awestruck.

Must do from my part is- wander around Panna Meena kund area and you will see such amazing temples or a bit of ruins. I guess we saw around 4-5 temples just next to each other and oh so unique.

Then it was lunch time and we tried the famous daal baati, yum I must say.

Then it was time to head to Nahargarh fort, where I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. Spent around 2 hours around the fort.

Then visited the swaminarayan temple, again beautiful carvings and architecture. First time Eric saw an aarti happening I guess. And we made our way through some terrible traffic to get there and head back.

I still wasn't tired and really wanted to see Hawa Mahal in all its Glory in the night, so got a place at the tattoo cafe again, their food is really good and they have vegan options too.

Had another meal with an amazing view.

Then back at my hostel attended a dance workshop and it was time to leave one of the most beautifully planned city in India
