It was a family trip we took in first week of March.The temperature went 30 degrees in the day to 18 degrees at night.Other than afternoon time , it was mostly pleasant.The city has a long history,the one with the most turmoils as compared to the other cities of Rajasthan.The first capital of Rajasthan was Amer thats almost next to Jaipur.Jaipur was formed as a result in expansion of Amer.It was the first planned city and is also known as the pink city.The city center is painted pink.Culturally its a mixture of western and indian influence.You will find great places to eat catering to all taste buds with a enthralling night life.History of Amer and birth of Jaipur can be seen at sound and night show that happens every evening 7 to 9 at Amer fort.The way the royal family lived and over the generations lifestyle is well displayed at city palace.The current family still resides there.Jantar mantar adjoining City Palace gives insight into the extent to which indian sciences were developed in those times.Overall the city gives you a lot in terms of history with keeping you intouch with todays lifestyle.
