Day 1

The festival of light(Dipavali) had just ended and we were all set for our ride.

Our boys had collected a handsome amount of cash through Deusi (we sing and dance in nepali traditional way) which would help us financially for the ride😅(we all are college students with no source of income).

(Bhailo and Deusi Re are traditional songs that are sung during the festival of light Dipavali and also called "Tihar" in Nepal and some other places.Children and teenagers sing the songs and dance as they go to various homes in their community, collecting money, sweets, food and giving blessings for prosperity. Bhailo is generally sung by girls, while Deusi is sung by boys. At the end of these songs, the woman of the house serve food and give money to these deusi/bhailo singers and dancers. In return, the Deusi/Bhailo team gives blessings for high income and prosperity.)
We started early at about 7:30 am and on our way stopped for breakfast at teesta. We then entered the state of Sikkim through Melli(liquor is pretty cheap out here). The route which we took for Namchi was a pretty drastic one and all of us,including our motorcycles were covered with dust when we reached Namchi.

After we reached Namchi,we rode towards the The Siddheswar Dham or Char Dham which is said to be one of the major tourist spots which lies in South district in Namchi. The temple was about 5km from Namchi town and is constructed on top of Solophok hill.

The entry fee is different for different categories of people and the checking is quite strict before you enter the temple. As you enter the temple, the tallest statue of Lord Shiva can be visible to the human eye(87 feet). The temple is more or less a tribute to Lord Shiva with exact replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas. Also present are the Char Dham's-
1)Bhadrinath Dham
2)Jagganath Dham
3)Rameshwar Dham
4)Sai Dham
The Siddheswar Dham can be very interesting for religious people and we took almost an hour to have a complete round of it then left for Namchi Helipad.

We reached Namchi Helipad and some of our guys practiced their stunts there. The road towards the helipad were mind boggling as we couldn't resisit to kill those curves(no photos taken while riding towards the helipad as the roads didn't let us think of anything else). It was pretty much a decent place and could be a picnic spot for many.

We then had our lunch and took off for Perbing where we had an awesome moment while the sunset took place. It was a very peaceful and beautiful place with environment friendly atmosphere and very less vehicles. It was one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited till date.

We more or less travelled across Namchi and left by 7:00pm and visited Tare bhir at about 7:45pm.It was supposed to be a 2 day ride but we managed to wrap up in a day.

We brought back nothing but memories from this beautiful town.
