One place that must not be missed while you are going on a trip to Andaman is the Jolly Buoy Island. This island is located at a distance of 15 miles from the Wandoor Jetty. Wandoor lies at a distance of 30km from Port Blair and you can reach there by car. From Wandoor, you need to take a ferry to reach Jolly Buoy. Jolly Buoy Island is a part of the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. The island is closed on Monday. Travelers need an entry permit to visit the island. The journey in the Ferry is really beautiful with many islands nearby. As soon as you reach Jolly Buoy, you will see a serene beauty of the place. The shades of the sea makes you fall in love with it. The place is immensely rich in fauna and corals. The underwater beauty of this place is divine. You will get to see many colorful fishes and corals. One can try out adventure sports like snorkeling. If you are a bit afraid of snorkeling, you may try out the glass boats. It is better if you take extra clothes and carry water along with you as that place is devoid of any shops or stalls. You will be allowed to stay for three hours and then you need to return in the same jetty in which you went. This is a one day trip from Port Blair and it is advisable to include it in your itinerary. It is advisable if you start your journey early morning from Port Blair.

This place is amazing if you want to spend your time leisurely. Reach the Wandoor Jetty by 8 am in the morning or as early as possible. You need to get your permits done. After that, board the ferry you are allotted and reach Jolly Buoy. Spend around 3 to 4 hours there and then you need to return by the same ferry.

Nice to know about your visit to the Jolly Bouy islands. Its usually closed during off season from May - September. Instead of this Red Skin island opens. We see hundreds of travelers visiting Jolly Bouy Island each year and have helped a lot of them. Just in case you require info on the permit and the timings on the jolly bouy island trip then you can check https://trip.experienceandamans.com/trip/jollybouy--red-skin-island-and-wandoor-beach.html
