KASHMIR, the name itself creates an excitement.
I always wanted to visit Kashmir, but yes never had the chance.
2020, already stuck at home due to the ongoing pandemic. When everything was seem getting back to normal, I planned trip to Kashmir.
There is a page on instagram, #beingkashmiri, I used to go through the posts, and it always mesmerized me.
Then, I got in touch with the admin and got to know that they do arrange trips to Kashmir. Gosh, this is what I wanted.

The trip was so smoothly planned, and everything was taken care of, the safety, the food, travelling, etc.
Our itinerary was of total 5 nights and 6 days covering Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg.
We booked a flight to Srinagar. It takes 2hrs 30 mins to reach to Srinagar. The moment you can see the snow clad mountains, boom 💥 you are in Srinagar ❤️
That was such a pretty view. Don't forget to book the window side seats..😬
Our stay was divided as three nights in houseboat, and 2 nights hotel stay.
Since, Srinagar airport is defense airport, be careful. No photos, no videos allowed on the airport.
We reached houseboat and yes, it was beautiful. Typical Kashmiri Houseboat 💖
Our host, Khaleed bhai was such a sweetheart. He made us comfortable, he made us feel at home. He served kahwa, welcome drink, Kashmiri special.
We decided to step out and have some proper cuisine..
We went to Mughal Darbar restaurant. Having heard about it a lot, if you love mutton you can try some two three dishes of Wazwan. Since, I am not a big mutton fan, I decided to try Kashmiri Pulao.. It was 😋.
After lunch, we decided to go for the Shikara ride.
Be ready to bargain for the Shikara. 2 hours at the Dal lake, it was so beautiful ♥️
Got to know a lot about Kashmir from the Shikara wala. Their stories, what they did, how they manage their survival, cold weather.
After the Shikara ride, had a tummy full dinner at the houseboat.
