Kashmir

We'll be heading to Kashmir in Sept (18th-22nd) which is the most awaited season in Jammu & Kashmir as it is onset of autumn when green turns gold.

As we arrive in the land of Paradise, we move for an Indian Lunch at a famous local restaurant serving scrumptious North Indian delicacies.

Afterwards, we check-in at Houseboat on Dal Lake, Srinagar which is "the most special part of the trip". The view of vast, mirror flat sheet of water reflecting wooden balconies of houseboats is breathtaking in its own. After getting fresh, we leave for a visit to Shankaracharya Temple / Takht-e-Suleiman about 1000 fts from Srinagar for a panaromic view of the valley and then visiting famous Mughal gardens of Cheshmashahi, Nishat and Shalimar.

After sunset, we come back to our Houseboat and enjoy special Tea of Kashmir known as "Kashmiri Kawa". I promise, you will ask for it everyday :).

Enjoy dinner served with utmost hospitality by the houseboat owners. Overnight stay at Houseboat.

Next 3 days, we make full day excursion trips to Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam for sightseeing.

Highlights would be Gondola Ride at Gulmarg, famous temple in Gulmarg where the famous song "Jai Jai Shiv Shankar" of Rajesh Khanna & Mumtaz was filmed; horse ride in Sonamarg, passing by famous shooting sights of Indian Film Industry in Pahalgam (and yes..the sights are beautiful!!), visit to Baisaran view point, Beetab valley, Aru village in Pahalgam.

Enroute, we ensure to stop at picturesque points to keep the photographer in you happy !!

On the last day of the trip, we take you for a stroll at Srinagar market. You can shop apples, dry fruits, pashmina, woollen clothes, kashmiri spices and other souvenirs. Also, at the end, we take you to a famous Carper factory of the town where you can shop for one of the best and finest carpets in the world. The beauty of these carpets make it difficult for you to resist and not taking home one for your living room :)

The trip ends with unforgettable memories that you cherish for years to come !!

Itinerary

Day 01:-Srinagar- Local sightseeing. Arrival at Srinagar Airport and transfer to Hotel / House-Boat, Srinagar known as Paradise on Earth and The Venice of Asia. Afternoon leave for Shankaracharya Temple / Takht-e-Suleiman about 1000fts from Srinagar

Day 02:- Srinagar-Pahalgam-Srinagar. After breakfast drive for a day excursion tour of Pahalgam 7200fts (village of shepherds) enroute visiting the world famous saffron growing fields, Awantipura temple ruins (9th century) and Martand Temple

Day 03:- Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar. After breakfast proceed for full day excursion trip to Gulmarg ( 8700 fts) know as meadow of flowers, famous for Golf course during summer with 18 holes highest Golf course in the World and ski resort in Winter.

Day 04:- Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar. After breakfast drive to Sonamarg for full day excursion ( 9000 fts ), The Golden Meadow. Sonamarg is the beginning of the enchanted journey into a natural wonderland.

Day 05:-Srinagar-Departure. Morning after breakfast Shikara ride of the lake and then depart to Srinagar Airport / bus station for onward journey.
