after exams, all my friends decided to get away from the harsh heat strokes that we were going through in Delhi. We finished our exams with the hope of going to KASOL, HP as soon as possible & were very much excited for the entire trip. Nothing was really planned though, we headed to kasol in a tempo traveler we hired for 16 people and started our journey from delhi. Kasol is well known for well we all know marijuana junkies and Israelis who never left the place. We reached kasol in the afternoon and immediately booked a cottage. Sony cottage ( Old Kasol ) was surrounded by mountains, trees and river on its side was the most amazing place to stay we could ever wish for! Their Food & staff was very friendly and every thing we ordered there at their restaurant was every penny worthy. In the night they arranged for a bonfire (Extra charge) in-front of the cottages in the garden area from where we could see snow- topped mountains and a sky full of stars. It was chilly in the night as well. We all danced away the night and ended our night with a lovely walk towards the old kasol market area. Although the stay & cleanliness of the rooms were on top but the cottages were in the midst of the nature so we had to encounter one of the biggest spiders we had ever seen. Not one or two, but MANY. And if you are a scaredy cat like me, I suggest you carry a person who is brave enough to kill them or a HIT spray :P

Next day we left for Pulga, a small village which is near barsheni. We started from kasol-manikaran-barsheni and finally reached pulga. It is about 9498 feet above sea level. and We had to trek for about 30 minutes from barsheni while we crossed pulga dam. The trek was a mid level trek ( Easy for people who trek more often) It had numerous waterfalls on the way and the water was effing chilly. It could actually make someone feel hypothermic easily within 40-45 seconds, atleast i did! I suggest, people to stop by as much as they can if they do not have time issues to reach pulga in time ( reaching before the sun goes down is obviously the main aim for a safer trek). Also you should carry your own liquor as there are no liquor shops in pulga & You might wanna drink your most favorite drink up there! Considering the amount of alcoholics we were carrying apart from the bottles :P we bought our liquor from barsheni theka. We also chilled our beers in the waterfall on our way! crazy!

After we were finished with the nature's walk or i must say the toughest walk in a long time :P we entered a village which smelled like cow dung all over. But Somehow i liked the whole environment of pulga. It was more homely than i ever felt. A very small village, having small houses like those we see in movies, complete wooden infrastructure and i felt they were so old they would just fall. Not much people i found there... leading to a valley of marijuana plants and flowers, i see mountains all over.. lush green valley of trees and a bit far we could see kheer ganga. The biggest mountain with a snow top and a heck lot of clouds. We reached our destination and it was a guest house at the end of the valley lead by a German man. He seemed like a quite & helpful person. We then rested in the main lobby of the guest house from where we could see everywhere. There are not many options in pulga for food as their is lack of manpower everywhere. So do not expect your food to be tasty or come early at all :P Although there are two-three restaurants where the food was good but it takes time & you cant just go and start a fight. so be patient. Skipping everything we did, I think most beautiful thing we all did was to sit in-front of this huge- literally HUGE stone where almost 14 people sat together comfortable with blankies and pillows and just watch the sky. NOTHING. I repeat NOTHING could be more beautiful & infinite more than that. Shooting stars, & god knows HOW MANY stars were there. Literally we couldn't just watch it! We could see the galaxy! The faded snow topped mountain and shooting stars over it, and a group of friends coming from different places. We all were infinite. That very moment we all were infinite! We almost could see stars shifting and there was nothing but pure air, the sound of water coming from down below and peace. I disliked the village for a lot of bad bad insects & humongous creatures it had but i realized it was all worth it in the end.

The next morning we trekked again, and reached barsheni. And left for Old kasol again. We did not go to kheer ganga as the trek to kheer ganga was 6 hours and we were late :( But nonetheless, we had fun and bid our goodbye to the lovely village. We still think there is too much to explore and too much was left but this 3 day trip is a fresh memory and will always be!
