Shankari to Juda Ka Taal:
Before starting, it is important to know that kedarkantha Trek cannot be done without the help of a guide. It starts from a small village named Shankari. Juda ka talab is a lake formed in a place where lord shiva has been meditating and the water that fell from his juda (Jata) turned into a lake. After reaching this point there is an overnight stay for rest.
Juda ka talab to Kedarkanta Base camp:
The second day started with breakfast and it starts with snow. One can encounter the snow capped mountains within an hour of trek from Juda ka talab. Once the basecamp is reached, we can rest until the mid night.
To the Summit:
The journey towards the Summit is not less than a beautiful scene from a Hollywood movie. The trek starts in the mid night around 2.am. The journey is accompanied by the stars studded in the sky, fierce wind and flow of snow on face. We can see the beautiful sunrise at 7 o'clock at the summit and enjoy the different Himalayan ranges altogether.
To Juda ka talab:
After reaching the Summit, we descend towards the Juda ka talab with a beautiful view downwards.
Back to Shankari:
This day is tiring, but the thought of the experience would make it easy to go down. One will not be disappointed with the trek to Himalayas.❤️ We get certificate of completion at the end.🥳😘
