On arrival to ernakulam airport, trip begins and we started to Munnar - city of tea gardens, a beautiful hill station which is the most scenic place in india. Dense greenery, beautiful tea gardens and well cultured people you will find there. One can enjoy many places in and around munnar like - pothamedu view point, mattupetty dam, anamundi trek, tata tea museum, blossom flower park, hydel park, spice garden etc. We reached our resort in the middle of the deep woods elixir hills resort, one of the highest rated hotel and absolutely lying in the lap of nature and greenery. Me and wife totally mesmerised to see this beautiful resort. We had our food at gujarati mahaveer restaurant and other vegetarian restaurants in the day time.
We started our day with nature's walk and also celebrated anniversary late in the evening with beautiful candle light dinner in a private hut. We visited to few near by places and did some photo session in resort at later part of day. As in munnar, one should relax and enjoy the nature. So day end with special anniversary dinner with all the arrnagements i did for my better half.
Thekkeddy : we started early after finishing our breakfast to thekeddy from munnar which is famous for periyar tiger reserve and elephant safari. Due to bad weather and heavy rain, we could not go to tiger reserve but we went to see kathakali traditional dance and kairapattu martial arts and later enjoyed ayurvedic massage from one the reputed ayurvedic centre. Then back to our budgeted hotel Mountain Hues which is very clean and spacious.
Alleppey : one the most beautiful place in india, famous for backwaters, serene sunsets view, gorgeous nature and beaches. We stayed at lake side resort where we booked our room in the tree house to get different kind of experience and later in the day had magical tour of house boat at vembanad lake. To sum up, alleppey is the best place to go in the kerala due to its pictueque beauty and natural trail. Highly recommend to visit this place once in the lifetime and experience the magic like never before.
