Day 1

It took a while to conclude on my next blog, wondering what should I express ? Adventure at a countryside or the escape to the land of the greens

Yet again the choice was simple !! And yet again you guessed it right !!
Let me take you to the land of greens - Kankavali

Maa ki Mamta additionally enchanted me to pen down the Kolours of this beautiful paradise

My extended native from my mother's side which never got explored until I got an unplanned opportunity to visit the famous Anganewadi Jatra near Malvan in 2011

Over the next few years until today, this place has a entry in my yearly calendar....the reasons are justified

The tradition in every sense is completely different. The comparison was obvious and new to me, thanks to the goan culture which I absorbed all during my childhood

The language, the ingredients, the trees, the soil, the water and the whole hearted people envisioned me as the admiring place on this planet

My forefathers house evolved from the basics of mud to the concretes of city. Thanks to the family bonding as it further added all necessary amenities required. After my grandfather left us, my strongest grandmother took the decision of settling down there....she could not resist from growing the cashews & the mangoes. Rice cultivation took her interest to another peak

The wonderful paradise was soon on everyone's calendar. The planning & forethought ensured we spend the days with full of fun & enjoyment

The morning walks at Londha Bridge, the shopping at Kanedi market and evening visits to our Kuldaivat Bamandev are our daily routinely activities. The visits to the Kankavali bazaar & the riverside was another praise in the heavenly land

The homely feeling from morning to evenings is unsettling. Cocunut Solni (peeler), fresh cocunut water, bhaat malani (rice threshing), ghaavne for breakfast (dosas), well cleaning are the best exciting apps away from the city for us

This promised land is well connected from the ghats of fonda, to the village of vaibhavwadi and the highways of kankavali. Near to markets of Kanedi and in the arms of Dighavde.

The unlock of covid is making me more eager to visit the Kolours of Kankavali !!
