Day 1

Kumbhalgarh fort is located at a distance of 85 kms from udaipur city, in the hearts of aravalli hills. The roadside view is amazing and looks serene. We took a taxi from udaipur to kumbhalgarh fort and it took around 3 hrs to reach the fort. The fort is hidden between the hill range and has protected its peasents from various wars of that time. The fort separates the two major regions of Rajasthan i.e. mewar and marwar. This fort marks the birthplace of Maharana Pratap .
Once you visit the fort you need to take tickets and guide (optional) . After entering the massive gate of fort you see some stalls for food and shopping. The food was authentic as it is prepared by the locals who live inside the fort.
There are 365 temples in the fort and most of them are jain temples. You can visit the temples and see the architecture .
After reaching the top you will be able to see the massive wall which resembles "the great wall of china" .
The fort also has a light show at night which helps you understand the history of the fort.
There are amazing hotels on the foot of kumbhalgarh fort which can give you fort like stay.
Trip to kumbhalgarh ends here and next day we went back to udaipur.
