Armenia is one of the most undervalue destination of Caucasus region and Lake Sevan is its star attraction. It is the largest lake in Caucasus and one of the largest freshwater high altitude lakes in the world. The color and shades of Lake Sevan change with the weather.
WHAT TO DO IN LAKE SEVAN
Lake Sevan is a popular summer beach destination because the temperatures are significantly cooler than Yerevan. Lake Sevan is well equipped for tourism, it has many resorts, cabanas, fish restaurants and other amenities for visitors.
One can swim in the blue water, windsurf along the lake, ski and boat rides are also available.

WHERE TO STAY IN LAKE SEVAN
There is a wide range of accommodation to stay in. Beach side resorts with beach access have a higher range but mid-range value stay are located a little far away from the sea (though we did not stay there, it was morning to evening trip)
GETTING TO LAKE SEVAN
The best way to reach there is to drive/hire a rental car. One can also use public transport from Yeravan to reach there.
