It was October, October is not just a month, Octobers make our life beautiful with the start of fall. The evenings are cooler and infact I like everything about Octobers.

Day 1

So, to enjoy the October month and to celebrate my husband's birthday we made a short plan to Mussoorie and Landour. As a person, I always like quite, peaceful places and less crowded. Places which give calmness to the mind and being idle in such places means everything. So, I was very excited for Landour, it was my first visit. Mussoorie is quite a crowded hill station though a beautiful one, I have been to Mussoorie many a times. The charm of walking the mall road and then having momos or maggie or chai has a different desirability.

We stayed 2 nights at Mussoorie (Club Mahindra) and 1 night at Landour (Rokbey Manor). Club Mahindra, Mussoorie is a beautiful property overlooking the city and the hills and the clouds. I enjoyed beautiful sunrise & sunsets here.

Day 2

We started our journey to Mussorie early in the morning from Gurgaon, by afternoon 2pm we reached our resort. That day we just relaxed, spent some time at the mall road and the resort.

Next day we were all ready to explore Landour. I was quite excited, it is just 33kms drive. We reached their by afternoon, parked our car and we started exploring the place by foot. There is so much charm about the place, the clean walking trails, the tall trees through which the warm sun rays are falling on the roads, the beautiful houses which can be anyone's dream house, made me feel so happy from inside. The calmness of the place was cleansing my mind. I completely forgot about my urban life's chaos. After walking for few hours, we planned to visit Rokbey. It's the combination of both luxury and old charm. A charming old place, after visiting the place we decided to stay there. But as Mussoorie's stay was already booked, we confirmed the booking for the next day. We didnt realise that day is coming to an end and in the evening we left for Mussoorie (my heart was still at Landour).

Day 3

So, today was the Landour day, we started our beautiful drive through the hills, small markets, the steep roads and reached Rokbey Manor. Spend the day at the Chardukan area, visited the churches, visited the cafes (Ivy, Bakehouse & Dolma) and it was a day at ease.
