This Christmas I had visited my sister in Seattle
to experience the American Christmas celebration.
So during Christmas we visited the "Christmas town" of Leavenworth!
Leavenworth is a small village located around 2 hrs from Seattle by bus.
The village is styled as per the winter Bavarian style with houses that look like from
The way to the town itself is enchanting with snow covered conical trees alongside the pavements.
I felt like Alice in my wonderland and I knew this would be a Christmas to remember!
We entered the village & it looked like an enchanted village swirling inside one of those glass snow globes!
We checked into our own Bavarian themed hotel and then started exploring this Christmas decorated town.
It was an ultimate Christmas experience.
The entire town was covered in snow and we had an amazing time building snowmen, having snow fights and making impressions in the snow.
I felt like I was in Hogwarts celebrating Christmas with pies, pumpkin pasties, chocolates, gingerbread , ice creams, savories...
We also saw a shop in which there were Harry Potter sets available- the great Hall, Hagrid's hut, owlery. I didn't get to purchase them as they were very expensive.
We also had a sleigh ride around the town on horses & carriages. And we had the mandatory gingerbread which is a Christmas must.
There were Snow-filled landscapes and mountain. The trees were laden with snow. All around there were Holiday decorations & Lights! Lights! And more lights!!
There were songs sung by solo artists & some high school / professional choirs as we walked through the town. It added a musical touch to out trip and made it look like a dream.
My sister also took some dress up photos!
There were snowflakes on my nose, a million lights sprung on trees & houses, and Christmas Carol's in the air, it most certainly lifted up our holiday spirits
The highlight of the trip was the lighting ceremony
In one nano small moment, the entire town comes to life & light with a synchronized display of innumerable sparkling lights and live music.
It felt like being part of musical.
I would like to spend every Christmas here if it were affordable!!
