Day 1

Yes its a long weekend due to ganesh Chathurthi Since I have to be in home for poojas on monday I could not able to plan and trip. But when you are in bangalore that will not stop the explorer inside you. So I decided to explore the legendary food joint in the old city of bangalore. I started my trip from Electronic city at 6.40 AM but as my bad luck I got struck at traffic near the silk board junction as people are returning to Bangalore for the long weekend and finally it took me around 47 minutes for me to reach malleswaram and my first stop is veena stores.

This is a small eat joint serving south Indian food since 1977. You have to buy the token and get the food at near by counter and you will not have any place to sit and eat but all of this goes away when you taste their food. I tired Idly and vada along with coffee and it costs around 90 INR.

Next stop the CTR, yes this the one that started on 1920 which turns out to be a hangout spots for lot writers and artists in 1940s and 1950s. Now this place is renovated and has more seating capacities. The benne Masala dosa here is nothing like I have ever tasted so far super crispy outside soft inside with lot and lot of butter no words can express this. Also tired Kesari Bhath and Kahara Bhath.

Next stop New Krishna Bhavan, In business since 1952, beautiful surrounding and ample seating space this place is legendary. here I had button idly and again a coffee. Any one from coimbatore this is same as mini sambar idly served at anapoorna :P.. but I missed to try the green idly which seems to be super famous here.. but yes there i always a next time..

When we came out of our last stop the time was 8.37. Our next stop was suppose to open only at 9, but to our luck there was a beautiful park right outside the hotel. To digest the all the food I ate we took a walk around the park.
