Day 2

Now guys first thing is you need a permission from SDM Manali to visit Rohtang and prior thing is that where you put your stay in Manali , ask the guys to arrange the permission in advance as this will save you time and you can push off to you destination wthout any husttle and please make sure to cross Rohtang by 5-6 am as after that you will be badly stucked in traffic jam.

So we were 5 friends and our friend who had KUV-100 and we all commuted in his car, packed 2 tents, 5 sleeping bags , two small gas cylinders and eateries for whole journey.

We put up our 2nd day stay near Keylong road and since we had our own tents we had to look for a good camping site and we got a place where river was flowing nearby, surrounded by trees and we quickly set up our tents and lighted fire after very trouble as it was not easy to find wood to burn there. However, if you don't want to stay in Keylong then please push of to Sarchu and there are a lot of options to put up stay there.

From Leh City Khardungla point is 35 km and it took us about 2.5 hours to reach there as conditions of road was not good to drive fast and there click photos, meet soldiers, talk to them and in about 10-15 minutes leave,as it is advised there only not to stay for more than 20-25 mins and then we pushed of for next destination and many people they just visit Khardungla and get back.

Now we pushed off to Khalsar Village and a stretch of about 10-15 km was totally bad and we had to drive slowly seeing the conditions of road and there local drivers specially jk10 haha they drive so fast and on the way one local drove his car in to a hill and luckily no one was injured and we helped him and took of his car and went through.

Guys i might be skipping some points as i cannot add everything and we do visited some monastaries and gompas like hemis aroud khardung la and one in Nubra Valley too.

after river rafting we had our meal there which was a buffet system and charged 200 per person and now we had to plan next destination accordingly.

We got free by 2 pm and now we had to visit Pangok lake and when you reach Agam there are two roads that lead to Pangok lake and most important the road which is hort in distance you need to cross that early morning because there are point where water level gets very high and it is advused not to to cross that and other option is take the other route which is long but is safe and will take more time thats it and in order to save our day we took that long distant route and headed to pangok lake.

The Route we took was very long but very beautiful and after every distance you see new things , snow capped mountains, glaciers and blue water rivers and it was very enjoyable journey in the way to pangok lake and also we only found 3-4 vehicles on that route so the route is like very good and nature admirer.

By 12:30 pm we reached pangok lake and we put up our tents and went to sleep as we got tired and waited for tommorow morning.
