Point Pelee National Park in Leamington, ON, has some serious bragging rights. It is one of Canada’s smallest national parks and yet attracts over 300,000 visitors per year and offers activities in all seasons!

Getting There

Head West on the 401 towards Windsor and look out for signs for Point Pelee National Park once you reach Leamington.  You can also follow your GPS if you have one or these Driving Directions from Parks Canada.

Cost

FREE – The cost of entry to all National Parks, Historic Sites & Marine Conservation Areas is free in 2017 to anyone with a Discovery Pass so order yours today.

TIP # 1 – Click here for a list of all the National Parks this Pass will get you free access to in 2017. There’s 47 to choose from!

Important things to keep in mind

The Hours of Operation vary depending on the season so check the schedule before your visit.

If you are not camping in the Park then your options for accommodations include a Hotel or B&B in Leamington or Kingsville.

The Park is Social – Check In on Facebook, Tweet constantly throughout your visit & don’t forget to include #PointPelee on Instagram.

What you need to try

Hop on & off the Shuttle Bus to the tip. Look out for the wild turkeys and rabbits while hiking along the trails. Walking on the boardwalk which is built on the marsh. Canoeing and remember to bring your paddle! Don’t forget it like Tony did. That’s another plug to watch our video ???? Watch the sunset over Lake Erie.

TIP # 2 – Plan ahead and also give yourself enough time to include a visit to Pelee Island which is a 1.5 hour ferry ride away from Point Pelee National Park. See all the fun we had by watching our Pelee Island video.

TIP # 3 – You should also visit the Fort Malden National Historic Site in Amherstburg which is a 40 minute drive from Leamington and also FREE in 2017.
