Fontainhas is the oldest latin quarter in Goa, close to the hustle and bustle of Panjim City. On the streets of Fontainhas, flanked by brightly coloured houses that have a strong Portuguese influence in their architecture, you feel transported to another part of the world. What is interesting is that you can still see parts of history here, and at the same time you can feel like a hamster trying to find your way through a maze.
We stayed at this quirky "Afonso Guest House" which has such an old world charm and a beautiful leafy terrace to itself.
