I will write all the points/measures/rules here that i had to follow while traveling from Delhi to Bangalore via this Special train.

Day 1

I started from Delhi at around 10 pm on 21st of May, 2020. Journey from Delhi to Bangalore is approximately 40 hours (booked through and i chose 2nd AC coach for maintaining social distance).

IRCTC-team have continuously sent us a couple of text messages before 2 days of my journey, that Food/Water and bedding will not be provided to us in the entire journey. So i carried my own for 2 days. Water will be provided, but i would suggest to carry your own.

The journey was smooth otherwise, very less people in my compartment. Likewise i maintained social distance.

10. I got "Regenta place by Royal Orchid, Shivajinagar" . Check-in was pretty smooth and basic. Our luggage bags were sanitized before entering the hotel. The room is pretty good and decent 3 times food, with wifi, TV, 2 lts can of water. Attaching few pictures of the room here.

Day 3

I reached Bangalore on 23rd May,2020. Upon reaching, I along with other passengers were not allowed to get down of the train. We were told by the police officers that a form will be given to us to fill it and then we will be allowed to come out of the train. Attaching the screenshots of the form and few i took while traveling.

5. After filling that form, i got down of the train and immediately one officer came towards me and took me to one of the medical centers inside the railway station itself. Tests taken were: temperature check, Swab test (they will monitor this and if any changes on 5th-7th day, the decision will be taken accordingly).

6. After that I was given the option to select my stay (Govt. hostels, Budget hotel, 3/4 star hotel, 5 star hotel). For people coming from states: Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan institutional quarantine (hotel/hostels) is a must. For others home quarantine(14 days) is allowed.

7. Prices are

- Budget hotel: 1200 /day and Rs. 50 meals(3 times)

- 3/4 star hotel: 1500 / day and Rs. 350 meals(3 times)

- 5 star hotel: 3000 / day and Rs. 1050 meals(3 times)

8. I chose 3/4 star hotel as safety and hygiene is the main concern now (Note: we cant choose any particular hotel but just the category)

9. After selecting this, i was taken to a bus which will drop me from Railway station to the hotel. (Bus fare - 100 rs)

On 7th day , medical team will come for check up and if any minor changes occur on the "Swab" provided by us we will be asked to continue for another 7 days and if not we will be allowed to go for Home Quarantine.

Thank You!!
