Lohgad is a beautiful fort situated in the blissful malavli near lonavala.
I started my journey from Pune station by boarding Pune - Lonavala local at 6:30 .
We reached malavli by 7:30 I guess and headed off for road to lohgad.
In bhaje village we took a stop for breakfast and had a light breakfast .
After sometime we reached bhaje caves but my group was not interested in caves we continued our trek to lohgad but bhaje caves are really awesome and one should visit there atleast once.
In 2 hours we were at lohgad base . We took so much time because we took many breaks for photos.
After reaching there we started out actual trek to lohgad . There is a security guard who will check your bags to ensure no one carry something wrong .
On the very first gate ( darwaza) there is a ticket counter where you have to buy entry ticket which is ₹25 .
Lohgad is a very huge and beautifully designed fort. It is a kind of wonder architecture .
It will take 2-3hrs to explore the whole fort and one should definitely do that.
After sometime time we started to descend down. At the base there is a restaurant named hotel lohgad I would suggest if someone is visiting this fort then they should 100000% visit this restaurant . You will get delicious bhurji, Maggie,veg thali and much more .
Finally after having our lunch we came down towards malavli station and boarded the local train back to pune at 5:45.
Honestly lohgad is not a ideal fort for trekking as there is a proper road on which you just have to walk and walk and walk . If you really want to visit this fort than opt for vehicle.
