Lonavala Khandala are twin cities...it takes 3 hrs from mumbai...monsoon is best time to visit this place. Best time is to visit this place during weekdays as there will be heavy traffic during weekends. Our trip to lonavala khandala was a memorable trip. We booked Zaras resort which is at the best location in khandala. It was full of fog and visibility was only up to few meters. All the points, lakes, and dam was within 10 kms from there...we went to tiger point which is at a height, where different types of bhajiyas made from corn, chillies and potatoes are available.. Crowd and atmosphere over there was awesome...before tiger point on the way is tiger falls which is a very beautiful small water fall where one can have a bath in cold water of the stream....before tiger falls is another beautiful place called Bhushi dam....views of the hills and streams and waterfalls from dukes retreat resort are stunning...Lonavala khandala is best weekday gateway from Mumbai....
