Trip to London and part of Europe. I planned my trip with two of my other friends. We three girls planned it from start to end it was bit hectic but we learned many thing on the trip as well when we started our trip planning.

Trip started with London->Paris->Amsterdam->Brussels->Berlin->Venice->Florence->Rome->Amsterdam->Mumbai.All in all it was 20 days trip with friends.Where we learned,Enjoyed,Did adventures,Met friends.

I have mentioned along the destination in detail all the places we visited.

What i would like to tel here is some tips which help you on your trip.

1)Book and plan your hotels and flights at least 3 months prior.

2)Internal Trains also should be booked as well because they are more cheaper if booked in advanced.

3)Go for combo tickets for tourist attraction. They gave you good deals.

4)Book cycle tours(Amsterdam),Beer tours(Brussels),Chocolate Tours(Brussels) ,Walking tours(Venice)online if possible.

5) AirBnB is the best option for home stay.Check the site.

6)Carry travel credit cards an some cash because at times ticket machines on station don't take change. Also converting cash may give you less money in return :).

7)Carry at least one Credit card for safer side.

8)try and take day passes where every possible it helps while travelling and cost effective.

9)For vegetarian travelers carry some snack items as at times it is difficult to find veg options and also with time constraint its very handy.

10)Most of the European cities/Country's have lockers available on the main stations where you can keep your luggage and rome around the city specially for backpackers.

Trust me its fun planning your trips. Every time you do that it is good experience. Those who are ready to take little pain and ready to give time backpacking and trip planning is the best way to travel.

We had fun,did some mistakes,Lost some more euros at times, did adventures, missed flights but we returned with lot of life time memories.

For me travelling is way of rejuvenation :).

Happy Travelling!!

Shaishavi

Day 1
Stay:There couple of budget hotels. We stayed at Airways hotel Victoria and St George's(B&B).

This was our 2nd Visit to London.Still i think many things are left and need some more visits :)

Places to visit in London
1)London eye
2)Sea Life
3)Piccadilly circle
4)Truffle Gate Square
5)Buckingham palace(can be seen from inside only in summers) otherwise
6)Lords for cricket fan
7)Arsenal Stadium ,Manchester Stadium
8)Durdle Door--awesome beach and great location.Must visit beach
9)Bath city
10)Stonehenge only picture taking point can be skipped.
11)City tour
12)Cruise Ride.

Food:
1)For Non-Vegetarian there are lot of options.
2)For Vegetarians you may need to search around a bit.

Tips:
1)For Major Attraction you can take combo packs
2)Take Oyster cards it is good for travelling in tubes.
3)Or else you can go for day pass as well
4)Take Hop on Hop off Tours.
5)There are few online sites which provides offers as well you can check for them.
Travel from London:Flight around (29--25 Pounds) 1 :25 min journey.

Stay :2 days 1 night

Accommodation:Ibis budget,Ibis style Marne la Vallee Val d'Europe.Budget and clean hotel for Disney.

Places visited:

1)Disney studios(1 whole day required.Avoid weekends)
2)Eiffel tower top(Better if we prebook tickets online.Saves time)
3)Big bus tour(i think its little boring you can try hop on hop off tours)

Tips:
1)Take day pass the best option. can be used in bus as well as in trains.
2)Louvre museum closed on Tuesday so avoid Tuesdays if planning to visit louvre .
3)Check for Eiffel tower light timings as it changes depending on seasons.
4)If you are on backpacking tour all major stations of paris have lockers where you can keep your bags and roam around city.
5)As our planning was last minute we couldn't book euro rail tickets. If planned early you can get good deals.

Commutation from Paris:We travelled from Paris to Amsterdam by overnight bus.
There are lot of buses from Paris to Amsterdam.

There are Thalys trains running between Paris and Amsterdam .Booked prior you can get good price tickets.

Accommodation: There are many budget hotels available

Places to Visit:
1)City tour on cycle.(You can get many cycle tours online or there is one tour outside Amstel stations)
2)Canal Cruise
3)zaanse schans windmill village(Awesome place) total country side.Place where you can get wooden shoes, variety of Cheese,Waffels.

We visited Brussels just for one day. From Amsterdam there are trains and buses to Brussels. If booked early we do have thalys trains which are faster and you get at low rates.Train tickets cost you something between 30-35 Euro one way. If travelling by train just outside Main station you get Hop and hop off buses which has three routes you can choose any or all. They cost you around 23 Euro Per person. Places to visit: 1) Atomium-It comprises nine 18 metre diameter steel spheres connected by tupes, all of which contain exhibits. It looks good from outside.Even surrounding area is pretty good. 2)Mini Europe--Timings are from 10 to 5:Last entry at 4:30.Its just behind the Atomium and lot of chances of you missing it as there are no big hording with its name.We missed it due that . 3)Grand-Place--As we know Brussels famous for their chocolates this square has lot of chocolate shops and Godiva is the famous one among it.You can taste different kind of chocolates. 4)Beer Tours-There are beer tour which takes you different bars from oldest one to the ones which came up recently.for beer tasting. They have fixed timings. So will suggest to book it prior you go there. 5)Chocolate Tours-There are couple of chocolate tour but my suggestion will be book it online before you visit Brussels as there if you ask locals they are not aware about it much and due to that we missed taking tour. 6)Manneken-Pis--I personally didn't find it interesting but its a famous tourist attractions on the tours. Its at such a place that you might not realize that you passed by the tourist attraction. Also you will find the many waffles shops around the city and i tell you.You must try one you get lot of variety with hell lot of toppings over it. My suggestion to whoever travelling on their should plan which all things you need to cover and cover them first and rest of the things if time permits you can go for it.Any walking tour you planning to take up book before hand don't keep it for last moment. It will be much organised.
We travelled to Berlin with one of the local tourist company. It was 2 days trip over a weekend. We travelled in 10 seater car and it was a road trip. Its 7 hrs drive. We stayed in Holiday inn which was little outside the downtown. Below are the sites we visited: 1)Checkpoint Charlie 2)Sony Center 3)Brandenburg Gate 4)Berlin Wall 5)Berlin Cathedral As it was guided tour our tour guide took us to every place and explained everything about the Berlin history. Berlin has lot of history it would be really good if we have some good guide along with us.
From Amsterdam we flew to Venice the city of canals,Love and Water. From Amsterdam it was 2 hour flight journey. From airport you have lot of buses to island bus number 5 goes to island main station. To reach St.Mark's square you need to take boats there are couple of boats every 10-15 min.Check the station and board the boat. You can take day pass which includes the bus and boat tickets as well.Which is much cheaper then buying ticket everyday. Accommodation: We had stayed 20-25 min away from main island in Novatel. It was a good property but little far off from main island. If booked prior you may get good option of hotels on island itself and it would be best choice. You check AirBnB as well it has good options. Places to visit: 1)St Mark's Square 2)St Peters Basilica 3)Dodges Palace 4)Grand Canal 5)Murano & Burano Island Best way to explore is take a walking tours where they will tel you the history of venice. You can book tour online or you can book it from island. On St.Marks square in one corner there is tourist office from where you can book all sort of tours. Visit to Murano island is must but there is no need to take guided tours for those island is my opinion. This island has glass factories and shops.Which truly make beautiful glass things from earnings to showpieces to what not.Its just beautiful. If you are interested in purchasing glass things will suggest go around the shops in Murano island you may get things at reasonable price then main island. Gandola ride is must do it will take you through the small canals all over the island and its beautiful in the evening. It wonderful to see how the whole island is setup on water.Just mesmerizing. It gives you the feeling of freezed in Time :) As well you can try some Gelato when in venice.
Our Next stop after Venice was Florence city of Art.You can take bus or Train from Venice to florence. We took Fast train which take about 4 hr to reach Florence. Accommodation:Here we had booked a apartment from AirBnb.It was good option and was very clean and nice for three of us.Even the owner she was very nice and helping. Because of her we went around city otherwise we had planned to visit Leaning tower of Pisa. Places to Visit Florence: Best way to explore places is walking around the florence city.Instead of any hop n hop off bus.Take a map and start wandering and exploring. :) 1)Piazza della Signoria 2)Duomo--Must See.You get the view of whole city from top of Duomo.worth going upstairs. The painting done on Duomo is incredible. 3)Galleria dell'Accademia 4)Giotto's Bell Tower (Campanile di Giotto) 5)Ponte Vecchio 6)Leaning tower of Pisa---Its moreover photo spot then anything if you are not exploring the Duomo around it and its history. It is about 1 hr distance from Florence city there are trains every 1/2 hr 1 hr to Pisa and back. you can take 2 days for florence instead of one day will be my suggestion.
Next stop was Rome city of history.Rome looks all ancient. It feels like everything architectural monuments has story to tell. From Florence we can take bus or train to Rome. There are fast trains which take around 3 hours to reach Rome main station. Accommodation:We stayed at NH Midas little away from downtown. You can go for AirBnB option as well. which will be near by downtown and cheaper. Places to visit: Take hop and hop off bus which will cover most of the main spots: 1)Colosseum--Must see and should take guided tour.when you start listening the story you can picture the gladiators fights. It nice but it should be accompanied by guide so you get to know the history well. 2)St. Peter's Basilica 3)Vetican city-Know as a country itself.Holy site.It beautiful and takes almost half day to go around.Guided tour is must as per my experience you get to learn more.sistine chapel is beautiful. It makes you wonder how it must have been done the stories are so beautifully portrayed. 4)Pantheon 5)Trevi Fountain-It beautiful.make a wish fountain :).When we went it was under maintenance.so one more thing to make a note check if the places you are going to visit are not under maintenance :). 6)Spanish Steps 7)Roman Forum-Ancient spot.It takes you back in history with all those remains of ancient site. Rome also you can see on foot.I think thats the best way to explore this historic city.It really takes you back in time.Grab a map and start exploring maps can help you a lot. Rome was our last stop of trip.
