Day 1

TRAVEL 2K18

Thats how i like to call it....am living in kerala, near ro kochi... working at HDFC bank..am only 21 when i joined the work...it was almost 9mnth when i was tierd of the heavey work..so i decided to take a long leave and move out to get some fresh air...

Being romantic..

When ever i think of a road trip,Roshan my bestie was the first to initate the plans... first of all we were on the road to see my girlfriend in Kannur...from kochi to kannur its almost 300kms...we started on a sunday morning from St augustine chruch Aroor... And our first Destination was Hotel Rahmath in kozhikkode...where a mouth melting chicken biriyani was served in a big bowl... Notting to say about it if u ever visit Kozhikkode please dont forgot to visit Rahmath. After finishing the biriyani i had a call from her, that she is waiting for us near the hotel... she hugged me all the way she saw me..and takes my band which i used to tie my hair, and throws it awayy😂.she dont like that hairstyle.. Lol

We reached her house by 8pm...we were almost at the peak of tierd. The road was not at all good and we experience a long road block all the way to Kozhikkode to Kannur... The hospitality of the people in Thalassery was different. They used to kill us by serving a large number of dishes, her mom and grandmother had already filled the tabel with a number of iteams which includes Chiken,stewe,cutlet,Appam... All those foods have a special taste that i have never experienced ever. Her mom used to pour the curries again and again. After that long meal we had a chit chat with her grandfather who used to call Achachan,an elegant man at his 80's. She showed us our room... it was a giant room with two beds which is cleaned up and was like"yeah am ready to mingle"🤣... At 11.30 we used to go to bed and wake up early in the morning to avoid traffic... she was standing near me when i woke up,with a glass of tea..at 9 am we left..and me with a broken heart.😁

From the morning hurry-burry we escaped into to the hilly highways with  lot of hair pin and a foggy air condition. The road was at its rebuliding condition after the massive flood in Kerala...all thought the roads was not at all bad.. Our first destination was Virajpett in Karnataka. We reach Virajpet by the noon... It is a city all the way down to a hill...A hill is completly turned to a city with temples, and lots of small small shops every where... From there we keep moving to proper Coorg, which is a tourist spot. At first we visit Nisagadhama

Nisagahdama is  an island formed by river Kaveri near Kushalnagar in the district of KodaguKarnataka. The island is accessible through a hanging rope bridge. There are deerrabbitspeacocks, and a children's playground as well. We had our lunch there and to be frank avoid the food near this place... Roshan found its not eddible😂. We brought some homemade chocolate for a cheap rate...

We reached Golden temple by 3pm... There was quite a rush bt silence flew all the way in. Sitting inside the temple fills my soul with peace,i forgot my workpreassure, tensions and all the pain on the back. The moment inside the temple worth all the way there. We like to talk with the Buddhist there bt they were not willing at all...but some of them came near and offer to pose a photo with us. If u ever visit this place dont forget to get the Masala tea outside the temple... The tea push out all our stress and we where refresed.

Heading back to virajpet, we already booked a room in virajpet. The room was attached with a bar. The liqor here is so cheap.we head back to reach the room by 7pm,then we freshen up and ready for a walk around the hilly city. Our room where on top of the hill...we walk all the way down and found some massive foods...The virajpett special biriyani, the pork shavarma and some snaks as well as sweets. We made the night to explore the city. By 9pm the road was not visible by heavey fog. We manage to reach back the room by 11pm... We couldn't sleep that day,we where enjoying the night riding the bike in the heavey fog. Roshan was very happy to see the heavey fog. We where like  freezing. We brought a 750ml Oldmonk at 12.30 am...sounds crazy?? It is true, the bar there is open 24×7 they said,we only need to pull the shutters up... At 2am we sleep a bit, just to make our body rest but our soul was still at the freezing cold fog. We have to sleep because we should wake early in the morning to reach Wayanad. We have 2 more pegs and chapter closed.

It was my dream to ride throug the morning mist in Wayanad. We left the room by 5am, on the way we where forced to stop by the forest officers due to Elephant crossing.we managed to reach the Karnataka-Wayanad border by 6.30 am. We where again stopped by the police men in the border...asking us to stop, they take's the key from the bike... We didnt expect that. They starts asking us for Ganja. And we where shocked... The checked us completly. Actually they where good men. They offered us a glass of tea when knowing that we are clean. They ask's us about our trip, bike and so on...we managed to escape from them at 7.30.
And we where all the way to the delecious Wayanad neyyappam... This epic piece of sweet is only available at Wayanad at a purticular time. We brought a full packet of neyyappams. In front of us there was a deer and some monkeys. The monkeys  were waiting us to throw the neyyappam. Then we take the route to Kuruva deep, bt it was closed so we managed to get to Pookod Lake. It was a plastic free area. We walk around the Lake and gone into the thick small forest for adventures.. we couldnt move further, just because Roshan was bitten by a snail. We spent the half of the say in wayanad and head back to home through the "GREAT WAYANAD CHURAM". Reached home at 11 am, saw my mom wating at the front door... Travel keeps us happy and it also shows the deepness of the relations.
