Next day, we planned to leave early morning so that we can catch the gate at Joshimath timely.
few things you can do on the way:
1. Must try plums on way which are often called as "Polam" by locals.
2. Enjoy the scenic spots on the way.
3. Darshan of Hanuman ji before starting the treacherous road and weather at Hanuman Chatti.
4. Narsingh temple darshan at Joshimath.
5. Watch the sangam of rivers at Devprayag, Vishnuprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnprayag, nandaprayag. (Lot of movies have been shot at these places like kisna ) and a dip in river too.
6. Darshan of Vridha badri which is between joshimath and peepalkoti.
Enjoying the drive, we reached Badrinath during lunch time and checked into our hotel.If anybody wants to have this budget trip, then ashram and math are there which varies from 500-2000 per night charges. these provide hot water, and warm rooms to rest.
We chose to stay at sarovar portico. This hotel is unconventional at a place like Badrinath. It is not near the temple, hence, car is needed to reach the temple. One can choose the math and ashram from where the temple is walking distance.
The rooms were very comfortable with electric heating system on mattress of the bed. whole day continuous hot water and very comfortable stay was ensured to us.
Since the weather was very cold,we chose to stay in hotel and relax. we went for darshan at night called as shayan darshan. special ticket is taken for the same. After that we enjoyed food and street shopping in the area.
next day early morning we also did mangla aarti darshan. You will get special parshad for this. I waited for this (My main intention).
after some hot and yummy breakfast at the hotel, we planned to leave.
we drove back till Rishikesh and halted for night.
Setting out from Delhi to Badrinath
Starting the road trip from Delhi to Badrinath, we decided to drive this way. One advice to anyone travelling from Delhi to Badrinath is to ensure the conditions of road. The road on the mountains are prone to landslide and hence, chances of getting stuck becomes high.
After all the research, road conditions, car and weather, we started our trip from Delhi to Badrinath.
one will get flat area till Haridwar. This takes 4-5 hours approximately. The entry area of Haridwar usually has severe traffic due to flyover being constructed since long time.
we stopped for eating and freshening ourselves, and the drove till Srinagar.
And next day reached home.
