Yes you heard right! Maharashtra has got its own valley of flowers and we cant keep calm. Its a part of UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2012.

Situated in western ghats - Satara district of Maharashtra. Its a biodiversity hotspot for various flowers and butterflies.

How to reach? Pune-Kaas :3hrs- 135 Kms, Kolhapur-Kaas- 142kms-3 hrs approx, 25KM from Mahabaleshwar

When? Best season is during monsoon- August-September

What to expect? 850 different species of flowers

Activities nearby- Thoseghar waterfall- 35KM from Kaas, Kass lake, Fort SajjanGadh- 36KMs, Vasota fort-11KM

Entry fees- 100Rs (free for kids below 12 and senior citizens above 65yrs)

Online bookings are compulsory, only 3000 visiters per day are permitted
