Day 1

After a lot of planning at my end, it was my 1st day in Paris. All alone. And I wouldn't have had it any other way. I had always wanted to visit Paris and 2 years ago when I turned 30, I thought it was a perfect place to celebrate it.

My face was plastered on to the window the whole time on my way to the hotel from Charles de Gaulle. The hotel which I chose was close to the metro station Gare du Nord. The receptionists were helpful in familiarizing me with the subways and going around the city.

I had booked the Paris Pass before I left Bangalore and had opted the 3 day pass, which included the day ticket to the metro and the entry passes for most of the monuments, which would ensure faster entry. Also I had booked for the Eiffel tower tour from Viator, which included a guided tour up to one level of the Eiffel and entry to the top of the tower.

Getting on the metro and after picking up my Paris Pass, the 1st stop was Eiffel tower( like there can be any other thing one would wanna see first in Paris ;) ). As I came out of the Trocadero metro station, the sight of the Eiffel tower hit me like a punch to the gut, well a rather good kind. It took me a whole minute to form a intelligent sentence.

Along the Seine!!

I spent the whole evening admiring the tower and looking at it till my eyes had enough. ( like that's possible). Walking along the Seine , and taking a Cruise over it had its own charm. There ended my 1st day in Paris with lots of shoe bites and completely worth it.

Day 2

The second day, my birthday, I was so excited. When I went down to the complimentary breakfast, the hotel surprised me with a box of chocolates and a hand written note wishing me Happy Birthday!!. It was such a nice gesture and completely unexpected.

So after taking care of my shoe bites and opting for a much comfortable footwear, off I went to the Lourve.

I couldn't do justice to all the exhibits there in half a day!! It was such a spectacular display. But couldn't miss out on the Mona Lisa.

The painting is so guarded and we had it see it from quite far. Time flew by seeing all the sculptures and displays. The next stop was Arc de Triomphe.

Climbing all the spiral stairs to the top of the Arc gave me this.

The view made me forget all the pain from climbing all the stairs.

Next stop was lunch. Yeayyy!!!

After treating myself to a coffee and salad, it was shopping time. I had to buy myself a gift.

After that burned a small hole in my pocket, I just walked around the city soaking in all the Parisian flavors and cultured and stuffing myself with croissants and macaroons. Just walking around the city fills you with such joy. The day ended with a nice dinner.

Day 3

Day 3. My last day in Paris and had to cover so much. After a small breakfast, off I went to Notre Dame.

There's something just so serene about this place.

Next stop was the Palais Garnier, the Paris Opera. I was Awestruck.

It was so spectacular. A treat to the eyes.

The next stop was Montparnasse tower for a 360 degree view of the city. And then the customary souvenir shopping. I couldn't help myself from buying all the pretty things Paris had to offer.

A quaint little place

Having loads of time before check-in, I dumped my bags at the hotel and took off to the princes street. It was around a 20 mins walk from the hotel.

The princes street is the heart of the city. Must say, Edinburgh blew my heads off. Never expected to associate myself to a better city than this till date apart from Bangalore of-course :-)

After a nice walk and lunch and walking around the city, I decided to rest myself for the days of travelling, walking and fun ahead.

Day 5

Next Day, Edinburgh Castle.

The day I reached Manchester, it was late evening and I had dinner and slept well.

Day 7

Day 7: The next morning took a bus to the Old Trafford and as I had already booked a tour, I was shown around the stadium and well match or no match, I did sit there in the stadium and felt awesome!!

Day 8: The next day I had a train to London. Having a good breakfast I set off to London. Met few friends

Day 9
