Ever since I have started working , I have had only one thing in my mind, that is "Save , Travel & Repeat".
But I was never really a fan of Solo trips.. they are good..very good.. but I'm too boring for myself...🙈.
Trip for me is having fun which I can't do without my friends..
This story is about my second and the recent trip with my two girlfriends to "Malaysia" .
(The first one being Thailand 😁🙈)
The one thing that comes to our mind when we hear "Malaysia" is ..... "Truly Asia" . Yes, so this time I thought about verifying this very popular catchphrase.
And after quite a good month of planning, we three musketeers finally set off to discover "TRULY ASIA".
KUALA LUMPUR: THE CITY OF TWIN TOWERS.
Day 1:
We landed in KUALA LUMPUR, the country capital in the very first day and this city welcomed us with its lavish beauty. Hustles and bustles seemed to be a common thing like all other capital cities in the world but the serenity was what seemed to be uncommon in this busy city.
Being jetlagged , after getting a rest for a few hours we went to visit the worldly renowned Petronas twin towers .
This 1483 ft twin skyscrapers will surely amaze you with its height , especially its evening view when its all lit up.
The skybridge at 41st floor (this building has 88+ floors most probably 🙄) connecting the two towers gives you a view of the entire capital city which is amazing. But we unfortunately couldn't experience it as the tickets were all sold out when we reached there around 6.pm.☹️
But it's fine as the outer view was enough to serve our eyes..😊
(FYI the ticket prices for foreigners is around 80 RM for adults.)
After being there for an hour and two we moved towards China Town which is in Jalan Petaling street and at a walking distance from our hotel.
China Town is the place or local market for all kinds of local food and shops where you can buy things at a cheaper cost and you can bargain too. And we Indians are of course good at bargaining 🤪
After doing our bit of shopping we had our dinner and went back to our hotel to get a sound sleep as we were going to have a very tiring next day.
BATU CAVES & GENTING HIGHLANDS:
Day 2:
Like all other travellers who is visiting Malaysia for the first time, Batu Caves was a must visit for us too.
The very first view after reaching there was the beautiful Murrugan (Vishnu) that stands as tall as 140 ft. After taking a lot of pictures, we started our journey to the top of the cave but what we didn't know was we have to climb 289 stairs😓. So people with arthritis .. or any kind of back or knee problems please take proper precautions before you consider this almost a short trekkkk.
For me this "trekk" felt nothing less than Everest.. 😁😁
This huge cave houses several small temples , which we visited one by one and AHEM..!! there are more STAIRS inside..🙈
After completing the entire journey of the Batu Caves we set off for GENTING HIGHLANDS.
We took a Grab for the Awana Central Skyway and booked a round trip ticket from Awana Station to Genting Skyway station. We have booked a Glass floor Gondola but I will advise people to skip it. Standard Gondolas are fine and much cheaper ,only the queue is a bit long.
Here comes the most exciting part.......
The ride through the Genting Highlands in the skycab is something I'll cherish forever.😍
It was raining on the day we went there but rain was not a hindrance rather it added beauty to the absolutely beautiful scenic view.

There was a stop which was Chin Swee station named after the Chin Swee temple where you can halt , roam around a bit , have some good Chinese food , visit the temple and then come back. And this is what we did too.
Then we finally headed to our last stop Genting Skyway station where there was a wonderful mall with a theme park in it..This was something I have seen for the first time.
After taking a good round of the mall and not buying anything at all we came back to Awana as we have a booked a round trip ride and finally went back to our hotel by Grab.😁
LANGKAWI --- THE ISLAND OF EAGLES..
Day 3.
We flew from Kuala Lumpur for Langkawi on the next day of our Genting visit and this place was all we needed for. I am in love with LANGKAWI.
The moment we landed, we knew that this was it,this was the place where we wanted to be for so long..The turquoise blue sea surrounded by small islands were already visible from our flight and we knew what was in store for us already..
By the time we checked into our hotel it was 6 pm and after freshening up we went for a the local market stroll.
Where we did quite a bit of shopping , eating, wandering around etc.. and we loved every bit of it.
The beach was nearby our hotel , so we went there for a walk too.,☺️☺️☺️
THE SKYBRIDGE AT LANGKAWI::
Day 4 ::
The pictures are more than enough to describe what we felt when we went there... but I'll still describe..🤪🤪
Oriental village is the place where you will get the base package of around 65Rm or something covering the skycab,SkyDome,skydeck,skyrex and 3D art museum. The skycab will drop you to the last station where you'll get to buy tickets for the skybridge.A short walk as they say for 6Rm and by glider was 10 RM (I don't exactly remember) ,but the glider was non functional for the day and we started walking through the woods.. I won't say much about the jungle journey but what we saw after that was beyond speechless.A moment later we were standing on the skybridge and it was WOW..
We already have seen it from the skydeck and not to forget the view of the sea and the sky meeting together from the deck was sooooooo good,calm,serene😍.. unforgettable.
We have also covered the 3D art museum ,SkyDome ,skyrexx everything. this was our first time visiting a 3D museum and we couldn't keep calm
We after doing all sorts of crazy things, went to the Eagle square,the place without which Langkawi isn't complete.
So our Day 4 came to an end with this beautiful place and we were all set for the island hopping tour the next day.
