Jaipur, Rajasthan being the “Royal Capital” of India with a lot of heritage, culture, colours & patterns to offer.

Just 275 km away from Delhi, is an enthralling historical city and the gateway to India's most flamboyant state.

In the midst of its colorful, chaotic streets & hustle bustle is the heritage hotel : The Mandawa Haveli

The Journey

As a travel enthusiast, I always prefer road trips and the journey was absolutely mesmerizing. Driving through NH8 from Delhi, we reached our destination.

The Day at Haveli

Upon reaching the Haveli, we were warmly welcomed with the welcome drinks.

Mandawa Haveli was built in 1896 by Thakur Bhagwat Singhji, the 15th ruler of Mandawa. Under the guidance of Thakur Devi Singhji, the 17th descendant of Rao Shekha, that the Haveli was converted into a hotel with all modern amenities. Today the hotel boasts of 70 well appointed rooms, swimming pool, a beautiful dining room overlooking one of the terraces and an Indian cuisine restaurant in the courtyard. The hotel offers special arrangements for gala evenings of folk dances, music and puppet shows.

Stunned by the architecture of the haveli and how well it was maintained. The more fascinating thing was, the bunch of foreigners were enjoying and praising the beauty.

As it was trip of 2D/1N stay, so we relaxed at the resort, sitting by the pool and had fun with the family.

Love for Food

For all the foodies out there, like me, if you travelling to Rajasthan, not eating Rajasthani Food, then you are missing out on something. Rajasthani food like, Daal Baati Churma, Gatte ki sabzi, Sangri ki subzi, Rajasthani Kadhi, Pyaaz ki Kachori, and after this you have to have some sweets like Besan ki Burfi, Mawa Kachori and Badam ka Halwa.

For some good food head to Sharma Dhaba where you can enjoy your food in a open garden on a windy night, which will double the deliciousness of the food.

This whole experience of enjoying at The Mandawa Haveli was memorable and must visit place.
