Day 1

Arrived at KLIA2 Airport. Then proceeded for Immigration. We took ENTRI Visa for Malaysia. It took around 45 mins to clear the immigration as there were a long line. Then exchanged some INR into RM from Maybank Forex Counter situated in duty free section of International Arrival section. One suggestion, in whole airport only Maybank gives better rate as we visited all other 3 forex counter also. Then after refreshment we took Sky bus from level 1 for K L Sentral. It cost me RM12. Reached KL Sentral in just 45 mins (distance approx 60 kms). Our hotel was at Pasar Se ni beside Central Market. So from KL Sentral we took MRT to Pasar Seni it cost me 1.2 RM. From MRT station our hotel was 2 mins walk. Checked in hotel, took shower & started roaming the city by GOKL bus. GOKL buses are free AC buses which has 4 routes. It covers all main tourist attractions in the city.
First visited Central Market which was just behind of our hotel. It's a AC market, established in 1888, remains open from 10 am to 10 pm. It's took some time to explore. Bought some souvenirs from there. Then proceeded to Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque. Which is 5 mins walkable distance from Central Market. It's the oldest mosque which was built in 1909. It's located in the confluence of the Klang & Gombak rivers, where KL city begins its life. Timing are 8:30 am to 12:30 pm & again 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm daily. Admission to this is free but you have to dressed up properly & cloakroom is there. It took 30 mins to explore the place & taking photographs. Then headed towards Merdeka Square which is again 3-4 mins walkable distance from there. This is place where in Midnight of 31st August 1957, the Union Jack flag was lowered & the Malaysian flag was hoisted for first time. Since then been the venue for annual National day parade & celebration. It has a huge ground, where you can take rest & do photography as the surrounding is very nice for photography. Beside this Merdeka square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building is situated. It was built in 1897. For its moorish design & clock tower, it is famous among tourists. Spend few time there & took photographs there & then visit National Textile Museum which is just beside of it. Textile Museum remains open from 9 am to 6 pm daily & admission is free. After this, we came back to Pasar Seni again (5 mins walkable distance) & then took Purple Line GOKL bus to visit KLCC Park. For this we had changed Purple line to Green Line at Bukit Bintang. Also we explored the area of Bukit Bintang. In evening the Light show of fountain, present before Twin towers, is marvelous. The twin towers look fabulous in night. Don't miss this event there. We spend around 2 hours there & then came back to hotel again by free GOKL buses. In Pasar Seni GOKL bus stand, there is a South Indian restaurant namely Vinny Jeyaa, Banana Leaf Curry House. It's quality of food is good & rates are also medium. So I'll recommend others to visit there. Thus day 1 completed.
