Mentoring Training


Mentoring is defined as a relationship between two individuals who work together to accomplish a common goal. There are a number of ways to implement mentor training in your organization. If you have not yet established an effective mentorship program, now is the time to do it! Mentoring will create new leaders and increase your company's productivity.

Mentoring begins with an understanding of your company culture, goals, and people. It usually takes at least a few weeks before you can assess how well you have developed these skills. During the assessment process, you will identify key areas that require improvement and review potential areas for improvement. As you go through this process, you will identify any gaps in your Mentoring Program that need to be addressed. You may find that the most pressing issues are issues that were not considered during your initial evaluation or that are easily solvable with current processes.

As part of your assessment, you will review and assess each Mentoring Principal. These individuals include your senior management team, your entry-level employees, as well as anyone who has been involved with your company's growth or management in some other capacity. You will ask these individuals to complete surveys, questionnaires, or other tools to evaluate how effective their Mentoring Impact Assessment is. These surveys will help you identify which Mentoring Principals is effective in terms of leading learning communities, implementing quality management processes, motivating your employees, communicating your vision and mission, and getting your team to work together as a team. These questions will also help you evaluate how many of these individuals are leaders within their own organization and if their Mentoring Impact Assessment results show how effective they are at motivating others to join, develop relationships with, and excel in your organization.

Once you have identified the most effective Mentoring Principles, your next step is to identify your school leaders. These individuals will be the most likely candidates to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate your company's values, processes, and vision. Based on how other schools are using their Mentoring programs, you can determine how many leaders in your school are currently using the Mentoring program as well as how many school leaders are on the right path to becoming an effective mentor. If there are more than enough successful leaders within your organization that are benefiting from the Mentoring program, then your next step is to recruit these individuals to become a Mentor in your school.

If you would like to see results in your company while introducing effective mentors, you should consider sending each school employee to an in-house immersion institute. These in-house institutes are the perfect choice for introducing new leaders to the basic principles of Mentoring and how it can enhance employee performance and positively impact their lives. An immersion institute allows you to provide your employees with a hands-on experience with all aspects of working in a Mentoring Learning Community. Along with helping you identify the most effective principals, these programs can also give you a chance to implement effective strategies.

Once you have identified the individuals that can best benefit from your Mentoring program, it is time to present your professional development strategy to them. One thing you must remember about a professional development program is that it should be tailored towards your employees' professional development needs. This means that if your employees have professional development goals that are not aligned with your organization's vision, you must evaluate how those specific goals could be met through the use of your professional development curriculum. To be able to provide the most benefit to your organization, your professional development plan must be aligned with your organization's vision. To do this, you must consult with a qualified Mentoring Training professional who can help you identify how best to integrate your Mentoring process within your organization.

Once you have completed the development phase of your Mentoring Training program, you will need to send your school leaders a questionnaire to inquire about their interest in being a Mentor. Based on how many questions you receive, this might take up to two weeks to complete. When you do contact school leaders, be sure to inform them of your intent to seek professional development training for all of your school leaders. Most Mentoring Training programs require that all participants complete a certification program before they will offer certification to individuals who agree to mentor one another.
