Since we didn't have much time at our disposal, we planned a mini 2 days trip to Mcleodganj and Dharamshala. We went in the first week of August during which it was raining heavily, thereby spoiling most of our plans. But somehow, we got the opportunity to visit some of the picturesque locations such as the Bhagsu falls, the beautiful Norbulingka Institute and the famous Dalai Lama Temple. We wanted to go on trekking in Triund, but the rain made it impossible. So avoid going to Dharamshala and Mcleodganj during the month of August if you are interested in trekking and hiking. But if you want to visit the place for relaxing your soul and for seeking inner peace, then visiting the place in the month of August seems just fine. We took a volvo bus from Delhi which charged Rs 800 per person and was pretty comfortable. We started off at 6:30 P.M in the evening and reached Mcleodganj at 6:00 in the morning. One can also hire taxis from Delhi to Mcleodganj or Dharamshala that charge around the same rate. I can't really provide much information because we didn't get to explore much because of the short time and of course, the rain. If given a chance, I would definitely visit the place again.
