Day 1

A solo trip to shillong , the Scotland of India is what one dream of and that too in the month of monsoons is a rare lifetime experience . The romance of clouds with meghalaya is a known fact but getting to experience it on your own with heavy rains is aesthetically pleasent.

I travelled from nagpur to shillong and reached the umroi airport which is very far from City and only one flight of air India in a day . So you can always reach guwahti and take a share cab from there . Shillong is 100 km from guwahti. So from umroi airport  I took taxi to reach shillong main City area police Bazar, which is quite busy place. I never expected that much crowd but trust me on weekend it is extremely crowdy. I Stayed in centre point hotel, one of the best if you want to stay in main market.

Day 2

I started for dawki, mawlynnong,  very early in the morning. On the way found some astounding view points, full of greenery ,  clouds and rain was the catalyst for kind of adrenaline generated in me. I reached India Bangladesh border, which is not well maintained but yes you can visit once. Then saw the dawki river, which is famous for being the cleanest river in India, one can go for boating there at very cheap prices, the place has serene natural views. Place was a bit humid, after that I visited  mawlynnong village , which is asia's cleanest village had lunch there and then left for living root bridge.
Living root bridge is also a  lovely place and has a river flowing underneath. These places are distant from one another hence I came back to hotel after that and did some shopping in the market.

Day 3

This time I started even earlier in morning for cherapunjee as I have heard that clouds take over the views and you won't be able to see anything. So in cherapunjee I visited nokah li kah falls, seven sister falls, Eco park, mawsmai caves, thangaronk park and many view points. In no ka li kah falls , you can go down upto the fall and can have a walk in the most greenest place I have seen. Mawsmai caves are wonderful , many people get afraid of them but I don't think they are tough to go in. Seven sister falls has a breathtaking ❤️ view.
