How to Reach: Bangalore airport is the closest to Coorg. You can take a cab from Bangalore to Coorg for a 6-hour drive via NH75. Alternatively you can take the more economical State Transport Bus (KSRTC) which drops you at Madikeri Bus Stand.

4. Get up close and personal with nature in Bandhavgarh:

Depending on how adventurous the mother-daughter duo are, you can pick between a jeep safari or an elephant safari on your Bandhavgarh excursion. In case you’re not able to get the toy train tickets, don’t miss trying out the train journey between Darjeeling and Kurseong, which follows almost the same route.
