Mumbai is the biggest city of India. So It has every culture and religion from all over the world. One of the most famous temples from mumbai for Hindus are Siddhivinayak in Prabhadevi and Mahalaxmi temple in malbar hill.

Siddhivinayak temple has long history. It was built 1801. Siddhivinayak means Lord Ganesha. The temple is richest temple in mumbai. Thousands for devotees visit this temple daily. Many celebrities, industrialists, famous personality visit this temple. Bollywood has culture to visit this temple before their film release. The idol is carved out of black rock and has gold plated ceiling and back area. Temple gives coconut wadi as prasad.

One can reach this temple from nearest dadar railway station. Also it is situated near dadar beach, which has sea link view. There will lot of crowd so, one can take VIP pass or opt for mukhya darshan if in hurry. Take taxi from dadar station to reach easily.

Second famous temple for Hindus in mumbai is Mahalaxmi temple.

Situated in Malhar hill, the temple has sea on its backside. It has Laxmi, saraswati and durga idols, famously known has mahalaxmi. Idols have golden mask. Nearest railway station to reach here is named after temple. Mahalaxmi station. Temple is very beautiful from inside. Lot of construction happened around it so difficult to see from outside. It is considered that the idols are swayambhu, means they appeared by themselves. Best time to visit here is in Navratri.
