And like many authors have claimed, Tomorrow really never does come. There are places to go, people to meet, people to call. Goa for me always has been a home coming trip, I always felt real Goa is not about the night clubs at Calangute bit it’s about the small , isolated shack in Palolim where they play good old classic rock ballads and if the band is  in a pleasant mood you might get lucky and immerse  yourself to the soulful music of “muddy waters”. One night, I was taken with a few friends to a restaurant on  Mober called Jazz Inn with the promise of great seafood (a lavish seafood platter for INR 299 a steal by most measures) and a live band (the sign outside said " rock night in Tuesdays ,Wednesdays ,Saturdays ") Now Goa in general and South Goa with it’s mostly Christian population in particular is especially known for the slightly loopy trance music that kids on acid go pretty mental to. It is also known for a long history of cover bands who are often equally adept at popular dance numbers and contemporary pop. These cover bands perform at weddings, post-parties, night clubs, valentine days  beach shacks and other engagements one expects when one thinks about life in Goa, however this house band  of “Jazz in”  was fronted by a Brit neo-nazi type dude who was equally skilled at singing A/C D/C  renditions of  songs like 'who made who ', as also was busting out blazing guitar solos of Jonny Lang. The setting couldn't have been better — a crowd full of inebriated seafood fans who eschewed the surrounding trance, a venue in which the diners themselves fashioned a dance floor by moving the dinner tables around, a band with a vast repertoire and enthusiasm, and the cool Arabian Sea.The band played for over two hours; a set that went from classic rock 'n roll to disco rock to modern pop.
