Gokarna ticked off my list ✔️
Perfect combination of mountain & sea..
So I started my journey on Monday evening from Pune to Murudeshwar by private sleeper bus. It took almost 11hrs to reach Murudeshwar.
Murdeshwar is a town Bhatakala Taluk of uttar Karanatka district in the state of Karanatka. It is famous for the world's second tallest Shiva statue, the town lies on the coast of the Arabian sea and also famous for murudeshwar temple
On Tuesday morning we visited to Murudeshwar temple. Many private washrooms are available to fresh up. Temple open at 6 o'clock morning. 20-storied gopura is constructed at the temple. The temple authorities have installed a lift that provides a breath-taking view of the 123-feet Sri Shiva idol from the top of the Raja gopura.
Aft murudeshwar I started my journey towards gokarna
Many buses are available to travel towards kumta, form kumta you will get bus for gokarna. Almost 2hrs journey from murudeshwar to gokarna.
Same day I visited gokarna mahableshwar temple. The temple is considered as holy as the Shiva temple at Varanasi or Kāśi (Kashi) in North India on the banks of the Ganges River. Hence, the Mahabaleshwar temple, Gokarna is known as the Dakshin Kasi ("Kasi of the south")
I have booked our room at namste cafe om beach, really good place to stay in gokarna. Staff is also friendly, cafe is also good.
On 3rd day we visited gokarna main beach, Kudle beach and om beach. You can hire bike on rent in gokarna.
Also visited mantra cafe, really great cafe provide classy food with breathtaking view.
On 4th day I visited Yana caves and vibhuti waterfall. Almost 2hr drive form om beach.
Yana is famous for these two massive rock outcrops known as the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara ("Shikhara" means "hill").
After completing Yana caves we started our journey towards Pune.
