My Escapades – Shravanbelgola – Belur – Halebidu

I came across a beautiful poem by someone I follow on instagram – Abhinav Chandel

He urges the readers to travel alone, to get lost in mountains, to take roads less traveled. He wants the readers to feel the fear. He wants the reader to emerge stronger, to have thousand realizations, to realize your own truth.

This was my inspiration for going solo. I have so many regrets (the list is longer than the positives)- things that I could have done, places I could have visited back then and so on!! I was wanting to visit belur – halebidu since the time i saw pictures of this place! So planned this trip just a week in advance leaving absolutely no chance of cancellation!

I figured out that our mind cooks up so many unwanted things when we are out there exploring a new land! My pepper spray was ready few times in my journey especially when I was figuring out ‘Nrityagram’ on a ‘kaccha ‘ road (did not use it though and I hope I don’t get to use it in future too).

As per my travel history, my trips always start with a lot of action right in the beginning!

It is best said by someone -“It is like a voyage of discovery into unknown lands, seeking not for new territory but for new knowledge. It should appeal to those with a good sense of adventure.”

Day 1

[p.s- Its addicting, once you know how peaceful it is you don’t want to deal with people]
