#Exploring my city
There are lots of hidden gems in Bangalore.
Here are my top few contenders:
1) Drunkling, Koramangala. The food is amazing and the beverages are great too. A must visit if you love your seafood and I would recommend the prawn ghee roast with beer dosa. Authentic to the core and you will definitely be asking for more. Good music. They also have karaoke nights and dance nights. The ladies nights here are awesome and there is always something happening every day and night.
2) Mysore Palace : A beautiful historical monument which encompasses years of tales told, retold and sometimes mysterious. The jade coloured walls give you an immense sense of royalty. The pictures and portraits of the yesteryears Maharajas together with the queen and their amazing cavalry is the heritage that beckons all to visit this beautiful palace. The chimes of the bells during Dasara, the light laden palace is so beautiful that no one can escape from its glance. The palace starts working on the lighting weeks before the festival and if you are in Mysore at that time, it is one different experience all together. Surreal and history at its best.
3) Discovery Village, Kanakpura
Amazing resort nestled in the heart of Kanakpura. It caters to all types of individuals, outdoor and indoor games. Rock climbing, corporate activities and clay modelling are few of the various activities hosted at this resort. What I really loved are the team building activities which brings out team bonding. The drum roll towards the end was literally out of this world. A must for photo lovers. It's food is lip smacking and no one complained. There is also a library for the book worm in you. My personal favorite was the rock climbing activities. A definite visit.
4) Daddy's Indiranagar
Fabulous setup. It has an indoor and outdoor ambience. The food is awesome and you can actually talk as the music is not that loud. The service was great too. People stay there for long hours and there's so much to do. A beautiful setup for photography as well. Good reasonably priced menu. What I really liked was the mushroom shitakke. A must try for all food lovers.
5) VR Mall, Whitefield
What I love about this place is it's vibrancy. Even though its walls are black, this place exuberates color with its various flea market stalls and book stalls. There are all the top brands at this mall. The skydeck on the terrace is amazing too. Good variety of shops and there is always something for someone. Love the movies here too. The best cafe here is Cafe Noir. I love their value breakfast which is served throughout the day. A must for people who do night shifts and eat their breakfast late....
