Hola Folks !

As you must have read the Title, This was my first Sponsored Trip to Jaipur in association of Piramal Group with the courtesy of Instagram. It was my first Solo trip and my first visit to the northern part of India. It was big surprise for me to get a sponsorship for travels, as the negotiations were done i fixed the date to visit Jaipur on 22nd of January 2018. All the expenses were covered including the Travelling, Food, and the Stay.

Rajasthan is more than just Beautiful and words cant express the feeling of being in this state, it can only be felt if you witnessed it.

i started the journey at night of 21st January via Duronto express from Mumbai to Jaipur. No complains regarding the Train as it reached on time the next day.

I reached Jaipur around 3 pm in the afternoon and had my pickup ready to the hotel. i did not waste any time, freshened up had a cup of tea and off to my first location which i made a bucket list one week prior.

At about 5:30 pm in the evening i reached Galtaji mandir aka the Monkey temple.

Majestic !!

The structure was an example of brilliant architecture, a temple which was built in the early 16th century.

This place is magical.. The climate was cool around 7° C. The place was crowded with large tribes of monkeys and langur and less number of tourists , thus the name monkeytemple .

This place was even documented on national geographic series as ' monkey thieves ' also ' Rebel monkeys ' .

You can find the history of this temple on Wikipedia or Google anyway. .

The fact that intrigued me was that I was told by the pandit (priest) of the temple that these monkeys had very peculiar pattern of visiting here. They come early in the morning, but will leave the temple and into the mountains at exact 6:00pm , so I waited and to my surprise they did leave the temple at that exact time.. In packs... This was simply amazing to see...

7:00 pm - i was starting to feel the tiredness of the journey, i choose to call it a day and went back to the hotel. The dinner awaited.

Day 2

Day 2 - Amer Fort

I was recommended by a majority of the people to visit the mighty Amer fort, and hence i did. Not to my surprise it is an mighty and majestic fort in the city of Amer, Jaipur. the fort resembled the riches and royalty of the kings in Rajasthan.

i left my hotel around 8 in the morning and reached amer fort around 8:45 am .

12:00 pm in the afternoon i visited Jaigarh fort which is a few Kilometers away from Amer fort. Jaigarh Fort which is the army fort of amer.

Cloudy days over jaigarh fort... The fort built with thick walls of red sandstone and is spread at a range of 3km in length. Such an overview sight atop the fort. These walls has been a shield of defense in many battles.

An Eagle eye view over Amer palace...loved how jaigarh is built so strategically to protect Amer city . The walls of jaigarh stretches around 3km in length and surrounds the amer city . It's definitely an man made marvel...the hill of eagles, so-called where it resides. .

You can still see the war remains at jaigarh.

The fort is declared as an #unescoworldheritage site.

it took around more than 2 hours for me checkout this place.

The jewel of Jaipur.

I loved the view of the amer fort from down here. The majestic amer fort looked like a huge master class architecture .

Shot on my oneplus 5 and captured the Moody day in Amer. The mirror reflection of amer fort in maota lake was beautiful at sight.

The grand amer fort had impressed me with its carvings of palaces and mahals, inlay work, the wide courtyard, just imagining the life of a Rajput king in those days.

The light and sound show is must watch in the night for first time visitors at the fort. It's an must visit for first time visitors as its an experience that shows the olden times at the Fort.

as soon i left from jaigarh, the locals suggested me to visit panna meena ka kund ( a ancient step well )which is at a walkable distance from Amer Fort.

You can checkout the photo of the kund which i shot - click here

Around 1:30 pm, I had a short Meal and was on my way to the Jaipur city palace, since i found out that popular "Jal Mahal" was on the way, i had to make the stop to see its beauty. i reached around 3 pm in the afternoon and the place was crowded with tourists which i didn't expect in the scorching heat of Rajasthan.

Jal mahal

It is unlikely that most people haven’t heard of Jaipur and its man-made wonder known as the Water Palace. However, it takes nothing more than a quick look at the Man Sagar Lake for one name to become unforgettable: Jal Mahal

It's just the top of the jal mahal you see , whereas there are another 4 floors that are hidden under water. .

From the well preserved hand paintings that fill every hall and room to the stairs and the beautifully designed terrace on the roof, the Jal Mahal palace is definitely one of the greatest Indian creations that remained well preserved until the present day.

You must visit this place in early morning for amazing view and less crowd.

Further i visited the Jaipur city palace, The famous Hawa Mahal, and the Albert museum. To end the day 2, i visited chowki dhani for dinner. I recommend this place to every foodie out there.

Apparently i am not able to upload any image here now maybe due to some technical issues on tripoto. If you like to see the picture / proof LOL ! i'll put the link below.

Hawa mahal , Albert Museum , Chowki Dhani .
