IT was a bright monday morning, I just woke up on my bed but it took few minutes to fully realize that I wasn't in a tent but it was my home. The same thing was going on with me since past few days but it was not due to any hallucinations or any other silly reasons, It was just the effect of unforgettable pieces of memories of a trip that I just compeleted a few days ago. Here is when I thought about giving words to the best journey of my life. Before writing it I would love to tell you thet every time I remember any of the incident that went through the journey it brings up a big smile on my face and I feel a load of goose bumps and the adventurous one inside me wishes to run towords the backpack, grab it and to live again those few days which worth costing me anything. So here we go.
The clock ticked 4.30 am and we jumped from train right into the holy land of Goa. The dark of the very morning was keeping our visibility low and the january fog helped it in this but still as far as we could see the Thivim station was in itself telling the stories of the goan beauty. Some notable points might be its cleanliness, its greenery and tall palm trees giving it an exact look of what we all have seen in movies. One hour bus journey took us to our first destination Panjim where our prebooked tent was waiting us. It was a lovely view both as for natural beauty and as for the view of people from different states speaking different languages. Next day we started our trek which covered even those parts of Goa which are rarely seen by visitors say it, dense forests of goa, steap hills and some untouched streams as well apart from its less crowded mesmerizing beaches.
But the best thing that happened to me throughout the journey was meeting people that were as crazy as you are, as stupid as you are, as adventurous as you are and most of all as friendly as you are.
Why those people were special to me because with them I got drunk for the first time in my life, I wandered through the forest at very deep dark night where even yours footsteps could cause you a heart attack, I woke up in my tent till 4 am chatting all the stupid stuff in the world, I took a chilling bath in ice cold stream that could cause your breath a brek down.
The hardest part of the journey was when the evil obligations of the life forced all of us for a farewell. It was the last day in Goa, we were back to Panjim after completion of our trek and my stupid heart was causing my eyes to overflow again and again. We sat around a table with a drink in our hand recalling all those memories which were disguising us now as a dream. Words were exchnged, contacts were exchanged, hugs were exchanged but I still can't find out what exactly cousing us to cry, may be it was our journey or may bethe fear of loosing those great friends. I don't know when will I find a suitable answer for it but one thing I can state for sure that atleast for a next good couple of days I am going to wake up in a tent.
