There's a reason why people name this place as God's own Country. Believe me if you stay in India and you didn't seen Kerala you are missing a very very beautiful destination. I had a trip to Kerala last summer including Alleppey & Varkala. We had started our journey from Bangalore to Kochi in KSRTC bus which was a overnight journey and it left us Kochi around 8am. We had a booking at Alleppey in a houseboat we reached there by bus from Kochi by 12pm around. I have got a lot of Photographic recognitions after i visited this place. Below shot has been published Nat Geo Daily shot for theme Best of India. I will recommend when you are going to Kerala please do a bit study on your itinerary if you don't want to miss any memorable moment. Below shot is from Alleppey.

So finally, we reached Varkala this place is famous for it's cliff beaches, Cafe's & shacks and it's kind of a happening place. Checkout all of these Photographs here: https://500px.com/yugantarora/galleries/kerala

We had 2 days stay here and had a relaxing time all over. I will recommend this place cos it's very different from other beaches and quiet place where you can spend days.

So Finally this trip came to an end whenever i think of this place i think to revisit this place again someday but i am so happy i had captured these memorable moments in my Camera. If you didn't visited this place guys please put this in your hitlist or Travelgoal.

Thanks guys, Love you all <3

One of the most quintessential Kerala experiences is cruising its backwaters on a houseboat. - Alleppey, Kerala - Traveldove

Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It's best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city's Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake's snake boat races are a well-known annual event.

I wish i could settle down at this place and call it home but for bread and butter and more travel i had to go back.

My stay with my wife at this place was memorable one. I could feel water's sound, chilly winds & wood's crackling while houseboat was on it's way. As the Houseboat started I was full of excitement and I started clicking with my Camera.

This place is actually a Paradise. Above shot i have posted is a morning scene i went out from Houseboat in search of a landscape around 7am. I have seen a small lane like this which is having a village inside. I found it a perfect place and started making compositions for same. After half an hour i realized that Houseboat guy might be waiting for me i went back. This below shot has been published in Nat Geo Spain magazine Feb issue for 2 page cover. :)

Heading towards Destination! Alleppey, Kerala - Traveldove

So, we didn't wanted to leave this place but our itinerary was planned and we headed to Varkala from Alleppey from a Public AC Bus. It was very comfortable and we reached Varkala in around 2-3 hours. The distance between Alleppey to Varkala is around 100kms. Taxi will be costly so i will recommend to go by Bus which you can board easily but ask timings of Bus in advance.
