The Himalayas are not only the home of the mountains but mine. Ever felt like staying in the hills? Experiencing the peace and calmness in the surroundings there? A place where we could be amidst nature and feel the serenity. One of the hidden gem like this is Neeralaya. Known as the house by the river, this 4 acre sprawling property by the Suris can definitely be your home when you get the mountains calling. We visited Neeralaya sometime back and could not have asked for a better place to stay in the Kullu valley. Located in the Raison Village, 15 ;lmkms from the main town of Kullu, Neeralaya stands on the banks of river Beas and has been tastefully crafted. Let us give you some reasons on why you should visit Neeralaya - The Offbeat side of Kullu!

Where is Neeralaya?

Neeralaya is located 15 kms from the main town of Kullu in the Raison Village on the NH21. It is also 25kms away from Manali, the famous hill station in the Himalayas. As Neeralaya is located on the banks of the river Beas, the sound of the river makes you feel at calm instantly as you reach the place. The location of Neeralaya was specially chosen by Muneer Suri, the founder, as it used to be his play ground during his childhood. It was his dream to keep the place as it is along with providing an exceptional stay experience to his guests.

How to reach Neeralaya?

Neeralaya is well connected by NH21 which connects to Chandigarh and New Delhi. The closest railway station to reach Neeralaya is Chandigarh while there are buses from Delhi to Manali which can easily get you to Raison. The nearest airport is the Bhuntar Airport which is 21kms away from Neeralaya. There are cabs available right outside the airport to get you here.

What to expect at Neeralaya?

Neeralaya is a house by the river which offers peace and tranquility in abundance. Built majorly from the old houses in and around Raison village, this place is tastefully done to meet all the requirements of a perfect getaway in the mountains. The property has villas and cottages based on the names of the fruits which offer a perfect setup for a couple oe a family get together. The cottages are built so artistically that they offer complete privacy and seclusion when it comes to spending some quality time together.

Living amidst Nature:

Waking up to the sounds of the water flowing in the Beas river is one of the best days to start your day. As you sip your tea sitting in the balcony of your cottage and watch the birds fly over the river the sun comes up and greets you good morning. The owners of Neeralaya have maintained the natural beauty without making much changes to the surroundings. During our conversations with Muneer and Manisha Suri, the proud owners of Neeralaya, we understood the thought process behind keeping the beauty of nature intact while creating this masterpiece.
