'The mixed feelings while harnessing, running in rhythm with the palpitation of heart..

The baby steps on the bridge along with the chilly wind...

The sound of gushing water of the fierce Bhote Kosi river asking you to push yourself beyond limits..

Numb knees and mind when you look down the Bungy platform..

And heavy heart when the instructor says..3 2 1 Bungy..

The courage to take the plunge and let gravity play with your adrenaline levels..

The first pull..the breathlessness..and incomplete screams..

The upside down view of the mountains and river..

The increased amplitude of the gushing water..senseless ankles..teary eyes..and a weird smile of happiness..made me feel ALIVE!! '

This is exactly what I went through when I did my first Bungy jump at the Last Resort Nepal. This beautiful place, located 100 kms from Kathmandu at the Nepal - Tibet border, amidst the 360 degree view of Himalayas, offers the 3rd highest Bungy jump in the world with a height of 160 m.

I took this adventure trip to Nepal with my office buddies last year, but its memories still gives me chills! We are a bunch of crazy adrenaline rush lovers and our addiction didn't stop here. After Bungy and a 30 minute hike to reach the platform again, we did the world's highest- Canyon swing at this place. 7 seconds free fall, yes, you read it right - 7 SECONDS!!

During the fall, exactly at the moment when you feel your soul is stuck in your throat, the swing sways it down magically and puts a smile on your face. Once I was pulled close to the river bank, I personally found it difficult to step up the stairs to reach the instructor. It required lot of arm strength!

The hike to the resort is simply beautiful. One can hear the wind and crumble of leaves. It has tiny fresh water falls in patches and cute red cheeked local kids playing around. The last resort takes care that you relax equally after all the craziness! The tent, food, spa , reading room, lawn - everything is just awesome! One can rejuvenate here!

We also rafted with these folks in the Bhote Kosi river. 7 kms - 3 hours - good rapids with fun games in between. Absolute pleasure!

P.S - Do get down in the water. The temperature will freeze you but it is worth a try! ;)

We restricted ourselves to just 3 activities in last resort but one can rappell, kayak, zip line etc as well. One thing assured - The instructors here are very well trained and the equipment is class apart. One can stay tension free!

Cost - Rafting + Bungy + Swing + Stay (one night) + Food + Spa + Videos - just INR 12000!

Next activity on our adventure list was Paragliding, which we did with Club Avia in Pokhra. You can find their office bang opposite the Pokhra lake.

Again, the instructors were amazing with lot of flying experience. We got to know them on our way to the take off point. During the glide, one can witness the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges unfolding itself. The view is breathtaking! On the other side, one can see a shimmering lake.

As you descend, the instructor turns acrobatic to play with the chemicals in your brain. The landing is done right beside the lake. One can sit by it peacefully and cherish what it felt like to fly! :)

P.S - Swag on with the personalized sky rider certificate given by Avia!

Cost - INR 5000.

Our next pit stop was at Chitwan. This place is known for its rich variety of wildlife. After spotting different kinds of deer and birds during the morning jungle jeep safari,  we did the fun filled popular activity  - Elephant bathing. To sit on one is a king like feeling! I was amazed to see how a human could communicate with the majestic mammoth. The thrust in water in every sprinkle was mind blowing!

Cost - INR 500 per head.

Apart from adventure, we wandered in the city of Kathmandu, watched the sunrise at Nagarkot, got wasted in Thamel  and got lost in the beauty of Pokhra and its people!

Nepal, unfortunately faced the most traumatic tremors last year. I wish and pray that it comes out pink again :) The people here are just so pure that one feels like family. This sums up my unforgettable trip to Nepal and it surely makes an entry in my revisit list!
