Day 1

We took the train at 7am from Milan!

It is not the first time I go to nice, in fact my brother lives here a few years. This means that I will make a list of significant places to visit (which you can find in all the guides) and I will elaborate more on the habits my brother took and the places a resident visits.

So let's start from the beginning.

First of all, a walk on the Avenue Jean Medecin is mandatory until you reach Place Masséna. This is beautiful both day and night. From here you can continue either in the Promenade du Paillon Park or along the Pronenade des Anglais. In any case, both are to be done. In particular, the beauty of the plants is to be noted in the Park!

If instead you take the second road again, a crossroads (both to follow!): The first is a climb up the Parco Colline du Château hill, nothing hard and leads to a beautiful view; the second route continues instead to Monuments aux morts: from here you have an incredible sea view!

Another important area to see in my opinion is the old city also this day and night, especially for the evening is full of restaurants and to try is the typical Socca (for us Italians is "simply" a farinata). By day there is the flower market instead

Ah if you hear a cannon shoot don't worry, at noon you shoot!

Day 2

The first new place my brother brought me is Coco Beach. I don't know if it's also famous for tourists but certainly for the locals. It is not very close to the center, in fact it is located after the port but it is a nice alternative to the usual Promenade beach.
It is located near the Franck Pillate boulevard.
We spent the day here sunbathing.

Day 3

Walking Day:
A magnificent walk to do absolutely is the walk in the Parc du Mont Boron. It is a path in the wood of the hill among beautiful trees and typical Mediterranean vegetation. In some sections, but very short, it crosses the road of cars but cmq a quiet area. The route rises from various points, I climbed from Chemin du Fort Thaon. Here we pass first through a small wood and then we reach the ridge and continue along a beautiful Pronenade. It is a fairly frequent area, but not by hordes of tourists.
Perfect for taking the dog to let off steam.
There are many scattered little paths in the vegetation so don't be afraid to get lost and go exploring. The vegetation is beautiful! Composed of wild olive trees, larches and, in the warm season, flowers of every Venus, including Orchids.

Day 4

Beaulieu sur Mer
My brother works in a restaurant in this small town. To get there we decided to take a nice hike and get there on foot. The beginning of the walk is like that of the day before. So we went to Mont Boron. Here when you arrive at the castle there is a small road that goes down towards Villafranca and you cross it to get to Beaulieu sur Mer. These two countries are very beautiful and peaceful and the walk leads through beautiful things.

Day 5

Phoenix Park
It is a species of botanical park / zoo. In the sense that there are some animals but not many to be zoos and there are many plants and a beautiful greenhouse. It is located near the airport and can be reached by bus but even better by train. The entrara costs only 5 euros and you can really spend the day in peace. It doesn't take long to visit, but we stopped to relax, have lunch, sunbathe and chat. They also organize yoga classes.
The evening is a spectacular thing, full of tropical plants to lose one's mind. For flora lovers like me it's a place to go.
On the way back we had the strange idea of returning on foot ... Infinite! In the summer to die but in mid-season it can be done.

I think the thing I will remember most about Nice over time, and not just thanks to this visit, are the plants. I invite you all to notice the beautiful trees that are present in the city, as these affect not only the landscape but also the aroma that is lost in the streets. From the palm trees along the sea, to the citrus trees in the streets, to the pepper trees in the squares, to the Jacarande and to the thousand types of tropical flowers.
