day journey (100 km) spontaneous plan and no planning at all around 9am mrng. Panvel to Lonavala via Express way in our car (eon); left at 11 am and reached around 1 pm. Weather and road awesome. Toll is quite high around 300, if you have time avoid it via alternate route (extra 1 hr). Stayed in Jain dharamshala (jain food available) in Valvan near lake. Rs 1000 per ngt. Had jain lunch (160 per plate) and later around 4 pm left to see the sunset at lion point, shivalik point via bhushi dam, stayed there for around 1 hr. At 7 PM visited the Narayani dham temple for aarti and had dinner there (150 per plate). parked the car at dharamshala and slept peacefully.
day journey (50 km)started at around 9am and went to Karla caves (buddhist stupa) and bhaje stupa+cave (better than karla caves). went to Pawna lake from Bhaje caves via Lohagad fort (avoid this route as this has steep ghat section). The view are awesome on this route. We did boating at lohagad boating club (100 rs per person); you can also combine the same with the tent house but better do it separately (saves money). stayed at tent (hotel kinara) near Lohagad boating club. 1200 per person (including boat and dinner + breakfast). Check in allowed after 4 pm. food not good but awesome sunset view. Mrng (sunrise) view of the lake was magical and we went near the lake and sat on rock near lake. awesome for bird lovers.
day journey (130 km) started at around 9;30am after breakfast at tent from Pawna lake and started for Srivardhan beach via Mulshi route . I must say that it was best road view i have ever scene. Mulshi lake surrounded by mountain's is magical. This route also passes via Tamhini ghat and plus valley which is superb (even in winter). Beautiful ghat section. Road is super se uper. Mangaon naka had huge traffic (mulshi road meets goa highway). wasted almost an hr there in traffic. reached Srivardhan around 2:30pm and directly had lunch at Paldhe pure veg (only pure veg food in srivardhan). searched for the room and almost everything near the beach was full. luckyly found room at matrachaya (gujarati guy offers his room). They charged 1500 (peak season). went to srivardhan beach in evening. It is decent beach but was crowded due to holiday season. dinner was only paav bhaji + mongini's cake. decent rajasthani guy near jain temple. i would say better avoid travel in holiday season. shift by 15 days and get better rates and better experience.
day journey (170 km) final day. started from srivardhan after idli breakfast (near jain temple). to nearby Aarvi beach (10km) (best clean beach in that area) with less crowd and water activity at cheap rate. We did jet ski + banana+AWS ride at 600 for 2 people. Avoided Harihareshwar (due to small child and steep climb) + divegar (almost same as Aarvi beach). spent 2 hr at aarvi beach and directly left for home(palava, Dombivli) via mhasla , Mangaon, Wakan phata, Pali, Durshet, Khopoli, Panvel at 11:30am. Had lunch at Shree Konkan Parshvnath Jain Tirth dham, Potner around 1 PM. Awesome jain food. reached home around 5 PM. avoided toll in this journey and hence 10km extra.
