The whole trip is about the night sky photography which i was about to learn and practice at kodaikanal. I left for kodaikanal at 7pm from chennai and the mode of transportation was travel bus. On the next day early morning at 8 am myself with 8 people reached kodaikanal. Our goal and aim was to take the night sky photography of the milkyway, stars and deep sky objects at kodaikanal in tamil nadu. Actually, we dont know each other, all of them were there because they wanted to learn about night sky and astro photography. We are all new to it but we were all interested in photography. After reaching kodaikanal we had our breakfast by 10 and we started to our stay which is karuna farm. This place is one of the best place which i have seen so far. If you haven't been to this place do visit. There will be no power, no towers and the place was in a middle of the forest surrounded by nature everywhere. So, we reached the stay by 1 pm and we were all astonished by the view this stay had. You will see it in the pictures below. The first day was cloudy, so we weren't able to capture the nightsky but still i captured many photos of the view the stay had and on that day i captured many pictures of the dust, bluehour and the clouds.
Since, we weren't able to capture the nightsky as it was cloudy we waited till the next night. Till then, we were all discussing and learning about photographies and stuffs. On the next day, early morning, we did some shots on the sunrise, had our breakfast at the reception the farm had. After that, we wanted to explore the farm so we were roaming here and there and took many shots of the waterfalls and other natural beauties the farm had. We could see many species of birds, insects and other animals in and around the farm and we were completely out from the present world as there was no signal and power. We even cooked maggi there and had a lot of fun there. So, the night came. We were all ready with our dslr to capture the milky way and the nightsky. But, unfortunately it rained that day too and the clouds blocked all the stars on that day too. I was awake till 4am hoping that the clouds may move so that i could the picture of the nightsky. But, it was there everytime and out of luck i got a view and picture of the stars for 3 minutes. I was astonished by the view after i saw the picture of them after i reached home in ny laptop. Eventhough, i wasn't able to witness the magic of the nightsky, i was so happy that i learnt many things about photography there, enjoyed the hevenly place and even got a glimpse of the nightsky. On the next day morning, we started and reached chennai and our usual things and began. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures too.
