There is monopoly in cab services and charges are approx 50 to 80/km for any distance travelled.

Our flight was at 8 am. It was a 2 hour flight and we reached Bagdogra Airport at 10 am. We booked innova for our hotel in Gangtok at 3200.

We booked rafting at 3000 for 4 persons. I didnt recommend the rafting part as i didnt find it worth. Rafting in rishikesh is far more better and cheaper.

Next day we booked gangtok tour at 3300 for cab. We couldnt visit tsogmo lake due to heavy snowfall.

GANGTOK ROPEWAY

We visited this place and it has amazing view.

GANGTOK is capital town and a popular holiday destination of Sikkim. A bi-cable Jig-back Passenger Aerial ropeway of 935 meters long from Deorali Bazar to Tashiling Secretariat via Sikkim Legislative Assembly was built in the year 2003. The visitors can have a panoramic view of the full Gangtok city while taking a ride in this ropeway.

The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur (Holy Books) and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels. The stupa is surrounded by Chorten Lakahang and Guru Lakhang, where two statues of Guru Rinpoche are present.

Next to the Chorten is a monastery for young Lamas with a shrine containing huge images of Padmasambhava and his manifestation, Guru Snang – Sid Zilzon. It is located about 500 meters above the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.

BAN JHAKRI FALLS PARK

The Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park is a recreation centre and tourist attraction near Gangtok, in the state of Sikkim, India. The park’s statuary and other displays document the Ban Jhakri, or traditional shamanic healer who worships spirits living in caves around the falls

It is situated 8 km away from the town of Gangtok. it is a scenic beauty from one can see a very nice view.

Ganesh Tok is a small Ganesh Temple located 7 km from Gangtok at an altitude of 6500 m

Hanuman Tok is a Hindu temple complex which is located in the upper reaches of Gangtok, the capital of the Indian state of Sikkim. The temple is dedicated to lord Hanuman, and maintained by the Indian army.

The Mall Road or the MG Marg Market in Gangtok is ideal for shoppers since vehicles are not allowed anywhere on the road. This allows shoppers the freedom to stroll at their own pace, look at shops peacefully, without being bothered about honking horns. Kids too get to play around on the road as a result of this restriction.

Both sides of the road and beyond are lined with shops selling memorabilia, trinkets and Sikkhim / Darjeeling specialities, in addition to having eateries, bakeries and hotels. This is just the ideal location to spend the evening after a hectic day time sight seeing. Soothing to both the mind and heart, a walk here would definitely rejuvenate even the most tired sightseer.

If you are still tired, benches and stone structures have been thoughtfully provided for one to rest and soak in the view.

BAKERS CAFE

Next day we couldnt visit Tsongmo lake due to heavy snowfall. We did cab for our next place at 1300 for 25 km transfer.

We reached the resort at 12 pm. The place is just vow.

We booked cab for Pelling hotel at 4600 that included char dham mandir trip as well. We left hotel at 11 am.

We did cab for mall road for 1000 round trip which is just 8 km from our resort. We visited mall road around 6 pm. The place closes around 7:30 and only restaurants were open.

Our next destination was Tenzing Rock. The trekking here is 100 p.p
