What do you look for in an ideal home? A cozy corner for yourself? Home-cooked meals? A beautiful view? Maybe a gaming area or maybe a library? Or maybe a swimming pool overlooking the mountains? Well, it's a never-ending list but the most important thing would be a place where you'd want to unwind, relax and let all your troubles melt away.

Last year, with the same thought in mind, I decided to visit Munnar for a few days. The motive this time was not sightseeing but to get away from the daily mundane routine and just be amidst nature and relax. For the same purpose I was looking for a place that felt less like a hotel and more like a home. The one that I finally set my eyes on was:

You can choose between a room with your private verandah or a treehouse. Both are well equipped with all basic amenities and have their own perks.

Given a choice to select the place to practice social distancing, this is the place I'll go for without a doubt in my mind. I had the time of my life here. I was surrounded by nature at its best....the chirping of the birds...the whistling of the breeze...the sound of the rain...the roaring of the bonfire...it all comes flying back to me. Looking forward to visiting this place again and reliving all the wonderful memories.

The resort is set amid 8 hectares of tea, cardamom and orange plantation! And since it's situated about 22km away from the main town, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax.

It's the ideal place to practice social distancing. The place has everything - an infinity pool, library, ayurvedic spa with steam room, foosball and table tennis, flowers, swings, gardens, treehouse, birds, fishes, campfire, hanging bridge and to top it all - mesmerising view of the mountains! What more does anyone need!

Start your day with a hearty meal on the terrace, overlooking the hill top. Then the entire day is at your leisure. Spend the day taking a ride through the tea plantation on a polaris, play foosball or relax by the pool. Around 20 acres of land is all yours to explore!

At night: Light a small bonfire at the topmost spot of the property, set some mellow music on your speakers and surrender yourself to the beautiful surrounding.

The bonfire is held on the topmost seating area.
