Well, it was our first wedding anniversary and my itchy feet didn't want to stay stagnant...
We planned a 4 day trip and decided to cover the golden triangle...Delhi , Agra and Jaipur... Yeah we were well aware of the covid situation and took enough precautions to stay safe and sound. Thanks to our stars, we returned home safely.
This blog I decided to tell how we made most of our day to cover as much as JAIPUR we could.
We reached Jaipur late in the night at 2am from Agra by train and checked into a private room @hosteller. It was a decent stay. After a quick breakfast we headed out.
We randomly booked an autorickshaw for ₹1000 to show the city till evening 6pm.
First we headed to the famous Monkey temple. It was a Hanuman ji temple located on top of a hill where the autorickshaw can't reach. So it was pretty much like a trek or our morning share of exercise. You will be welcomed by a troop of monkeys 🐒but to our surprise none of them misbehaved or tried to pull anything from us. Well those monkeys were being fed enough by the devotees.
Later we quickly stopped by the Jal Mahal to grab some good pics. We were crazy enough to hire those Rajasthani dresses( ₹50 for each pic with that attire) and have some snaps.
Next we headed to Jaigarh fort which is famous for Jainava Cannon( largest cannon on wheels in those days).
Post lunch we landed at Amer/Amber fort. Definitely a place you can't miss. The grandeur of the fort will stay in your mind forever. We hired a guide, I believe that's the best way to look around any site seeing place otherwise every fort or Garden will seem the same. One point I remembered about this palace/fort is about the 96 toilets that were constructed for the King's 96 children. Fascinating point isn't it 😝.
Next we stopped at Jantar Mantar. This place too needs a guide. What an intelligent masterpiece of astrology. Especially how time is calculated was amazing.
Our final site seeing destination was the City Palace. It is just adjacent to the Jantar Mantar. The silver containers and the colourful doors will pull your attention for sure.
Finally we asked our driver to drop us at the Hawa Mahal. After clicking few pictures there, we did some shopping around Hawa Mahal.
PS: Be very vigilant and use ur ultimate bargaining skills while shopping.
The pink buildings surrounding you, will tell you why Jaipur is called the Pink city. 😀
