It was a long weekend and really wanted to go somewhere out. After doing some googling finally decided upon Balmuri falls and Ranganathittu bird sanctuary. Booked the cab from Savaari and we were all set.
Started around 8 am from Bangalore and stopped for breakfast at A2B on the road. Finally we reached Balmuri falls at 12 noon sharp. It wasn't actually a water fall but a river falling from some 6 ft height and appeared to be one. We went for boating first which costed us INR 100 per person and it was a good experience. Spent some leisure time playing inside the water.
Had fresh fish fry for lunch at a nearby restaurant which was so yummy. We ate so much that it was difficult to get up and walk after that :p.And then around 3.30 pm started for Ranganathittu bird sanctuary which was a really amazing experience and worth a visit. It was so serene and within the nature and along with birds we got to see 3 crocodiles also in their natural habitat while we were boating. The entry fees is INR 60 per Adult and 30 for Car. The boating fare is also INR 60 per Adult.
We started at 6 pm from there and reached Bangalore around 9 pm. The cab costed us around 4k which was a decent amount. The total kms that we travelled was 322.
